I also didn’t like how the humans needed environmental suits to survive on the other worlds. If earth is supposed to be a “level 8 hell world” as the title implies it weakens the argument that we are adaptive and enduring. It just says we have good technology.

Technology is how humans are adaptive and enduring lol. Biologically we would be prey animals, we have no built in weapons, are teeth aren't crazy sharp we have no claws. When we figured out how to sharpen a stick we became apex predators when that started to become ineffective we built guns. We can't live underwater, so we build an environment down there that we can live in. Bullets suck, and human skin doesn't block them well, so we built a thing that keeps bullets from entering us. Plenty of things are toxic if inhaled so we built devices to keep that stuff out of our lungs. We can't live in space so we built things that can keep us alive in space. The Environment suit IS the adaptation to a hostile environment

Not bad... But... Aliens should've been taken to.places like Yosemite to watch rock climbing with little or no safety equipment... A trek through Death Valley... A safari to watch lions and cape buffalo... A trek in frozen tundras of Siberia or Alaska or Canada. And a visit to Africa where tribes like the pygmies or Masai still do persistence hunting. Basically, let the aliens really experience Earth... Not just see Earth.

@@adrianraulskrobek5868 that's up to the author, which i'm not. just an avid reader. i know orson scott card made an entire book series, prequel series, and movie. his aliens were named formics. which literally just means ants. dan simmons had the shrike, which was named after a bird which impales its prey on barbed wire spikes. the trisolarians from the three body problem named after the system they came from. or if you want to move away from naming things for what they are and you want to move into just pure made up names, how about the krogan? as for b, how about the borg from star trek, or the bothans from star wars? just saying their are 25 other letters in the alphabet and continuously using the same two letters, simply because they sound the most alien because they are the least used is just a shortcut that starts becoming more and more noticeable the more times someone walks down that path.
