I have been shooting 'gangster' for quite a while and was consistantly hitting well right of the target, I read the article on twisting the pouch and breathed a sigh of relief because I was, through age, having problems, holding in the relaxed twisted position, helped from a comfort point of view but not accuracy, however when I changed to 45degree hold, I started hitting the target fairly regularly (since yesterday) Now at last its a matter of practise, I hope !!!

It’s only now, that Inrealize that perhaps in my younger years I could have been much more accurate. Now considering state of the art equipment and technology, I’m struggling trying to re learn to use my dominant hand for the pouch. I’ve always shot slingshots from the non dominant side. I’m not you, but you give me hope now to push on. 👍🏻👊🏻

Coming from an archery first background I totally understand I’ve shot slingshot’s off and on my whole life but only recently worried about true accuracy using my anchor point from archery as a starting point for my slingshot though I’m striving for more precise accuracy and better speed with a butterfly draw I haven’t evolved to that point yet

Being from a longbow background myself, I tried the 45° instead of the 90° hold. I shoot MUCH better!!!

I’m an instinctive shooter, but I can’t dial it down to a fine point. I haven’t practiced much but I’m trying to learn to actually aim. I find if I aim I miss in the same spot every time, normally to the left of the target. And adjusting it and finding my perfect anchor point are so much to think about. If I just point and shoot I can hit the target almost every time (soda can from about 30’ away) but I want to be precise. I’m hunting little birds on a farm so my target is very small, and usually far away.

Same as you, when I don't think about aiming, just shooting, I have a perfect hit. Would love to have some tips for better aiming.

@@oren1sadeh I had my aiming down to almost perfect, then my band broke and I put a new one on and it was totally different.

Variety is correct Nathan. We are all unique and a lot of different styles work. My background includes olympic style archery and that has carried over to my slingshot style. And it is very enjoyable. And fun!

Very interesting, I am just getting into this whole sling shot thing, but having shot bows for most of my life (and wooden sligshots/ wrist rockets as a kid), I do understand the draw/appeal/ natural inclination of shooting at 45' .. I shoot my recurves instinctive & with a cant, my compound I shoot with pins, fully upright.. With several slingshots coming soon, maybe I'll set each up to try different styles of shooting and just see... might have to order one more from you, just to save on set up time and all lol ;)

Thank you for your purchase. Archery shooters seem to pickup the slingshot shooting very quickly as there are so many similarities.

I have a special question on crafting a slingshot I saw a video about introducing the aluminum slingshots and i like them However, the question i wanna ask is "how can i wrap the paracord around the skeleton slingshot handle frame?"
@simpleshot3 жыл бұрын
You can just experiment or do a search for paracord wrapping here on KZbin for examples!

Like Fred Bear would shoot around a 45 degree angle. I do like it for recurve archery... 90 degrees all day for slingshots.

Hey Nathan, what happened to the hare splitter design/concept? Did you scrap it? I just stumbled upon an old video of yours and it looks freakin' amazing!

We haven’t made it in many years. A cool idea yes! We have a few in the museum. 😮

@@simpleshot aaw that's bad luck for me. I was searching for some inspiration to come up with an offset fork like the torque. Then I found the hare splitter and it realy took slingshot designes to a new (third) dimension for me. Maybe it was ahead of it's time 10 years ago and it will come back 👍

I just had déjà vu that sounds a lot like what you hear in a shooting class, when you shoot one handed drill. Usually it's you put your hand sir syed bring him straight up without moving or just in your hands and you look backup you'll see there out at a 45° and it's naturally were your hand want to be
