I also paint semi abstracts and peoples pets and that keeps me very busy. Your videos are a welcome escape from other gloomy things on the telly you don’t want to watch too much off but feel like you need to keep up with what’s going on. Love your videos …add a splash of colour in your bachelor pad ..you’d be surprised what a difference colour makes.😊

Ah.... Endymion, pronounced (by me) as "En-di-ME-on"... a wonderful word. Mythology and poetry in one, a beautiful poem by Keats: "endymion BOOK I A thing of beauty is a joy for ever: Its loveliness increases; it will never Pass into nothingness; but still will keep A bower quiet for us, and a sleep Full of sweet dreams, and health, and quiet breathing." etc Endymion was either a shepherd or an astronomer (or both). There was a fantastic SF book series by Dan Simmons, the Hyperion Cantos that heavily utilized John Keats and mythology. Another fabulous vlog! Thank you for taking us with you. Those are long waits for busses, but in a slower area, not so bad. It was nice to meet your kitties! They are beautiful. I look forward to seeing your shed and your allotment.

Great video Sean. Lovely start to my Sunday morning. Endymion is a looong poem by John Keats! I think you say it: End-dim-e-on. You'll know it I bet. It starts: A thing of beauty is a joy for ever: Its loveliness increases; it will never Pass into nothingness; but still will keep A bower quiet for us, and a sleep Full of sweet dreams, and health, and quiet breathing. Therefore, on every morrow, are we wreathing A flowery band to bind us to the earth. Very fitting for your new life in Wales with the cats. 😃 xx

Love the views from the bus. The birder in me wonders if you might see shorties (owls) in the winter. If you ever get stuck for ideas I would love to hear about the birds of the area. Maybe if you ever stumble across a birder on your walks you could ask what they have spotted recently. However, your ideas do seem to keep a-flowing like a Welsh spring that never dries up. No idea how to cope with the running out of milk. Back in the day you could buy a jugful from the farm if it was a decent hour. My in-law keeps a chest freezer, pride of place, in the small living room. I wonder if there is anywhere you can stick an extra fridge or freezer. 🤔 Edit. 5 cups a day. Will not be surprised if it is more.

Amber and Topsy! When I was young we had a cat named Topsy, per my grandmother. Last night, I was sitting on my couch with my cat, Boo. I put my heating pad over her to keep her warm. She seemed to like it, so I ordered 50" x 60" throw from Amazon to put over us to save on the gas bill! I'm guessing you drink at least 5 cups of tea per day. One more thing, you said your cabinets may be so full they can fall off the wall. Tragically, that actually happened to me. I filled the wall closet too full and one day when I had been out shopping, I came home and the cabinet was smashed into the floor with broken glass, spices, everything. What a mess. I've totally removed the cabinet now and have left the wall bare. I put my various items on a microwave cart where I can see everything.

Hi Sean. You mentioned the lack of heat from the heating mat under your seedlings. I was experiencing a similar issue. What I did was I got a piece of Styrofoam and put the heating mat on top of that, then I placed the propegator on top of that. It seems to be working a lot better. I guess the Styrofoam is acting as insulation and keeping the warmth in and away from the cement below.

So interesting that the fragrance Endymion is appealing to you because where you are living now, especially with the coming of Spring, is so aptly described in the poem by John Keats. I've included the parts of the poem that describe the kind of "green world," "simple sheep," daffodils and clear rills that create the picture of Wales awakening in the early part of the year and its contrast with the din of the city. Interesting, because you have come to London to live the simple, slow, and lovely life of the Welsh countryside. A thing of beauty is a joy for ever: Its loveliness increases; it will never Pass into nothingness; but still will keep A bower quiet for us, and a sleep Full of sweet dreams, and health, and quiet breathing. Therefore, on every morrow, are we wreathing A flowery band to bind us to the earth, Spite of despondence, of the inhuman dearth Of noble natures, of the gloomy days, Of all the unhealthy and o'er-darkened ways Made for our searching: yes, in spite of all, Some shape of beauty moves away the pall From our dark spirits. Such the sun, the moon, Trees old and young, sprouting a shady boon For simple sheep; and such are daffodils With the green world they live in; and clear rills That for themselves a cooling covert make 'Gainst the hot season; the mid forest brake, Rich with a sprinkling of fair musk-rose blooms: ... Therefore, 'tis with full happiness that I Will trace the story of Endymion. The very music of the name has gone Into my being, and each pleasant scene Is growing fresh before me as the green Of our own valleys: so I will begin Now while I cannot hear the city's din; Now while the early budders are just new, And run in mazes of the youngest hue About old forests; while the willow trails Its delicate amber; and the dairy pails Bring home increase of milk. And, as the year Grows lush in juicy stalks, I'll smoothly steer My little boat, for many quiet hours, With streams that deepen freshly into bowers.

Endymion, is a poem by Keats. It is a Greek myth about a shepherd boy that Diana the Huntress fell in love with. Endymion is pronounced En-dim-me-um. I was in Turkey on holiday in the 1990's and had been on a coach trip to Pammakali, and that is probably not spelt like that! On the way back the guide showed us all Baffa Lake. That is the lake of tears Diana cried when she could not have her way with a human boy. It was embarrassing because out of a coach of 40 tourists, only my friend and myself knew it was a Keats poem. Keats one of the greatest English romantic poets. As you are Welsh Sean you were probably taught Dylan Thomas and all about Cerridwen and Taliesin. The first line of Endymion is: "A thing of beauty is a joy forever" Most people know that phrase. I was an English major for my foundation degree.
