This is the one that I remember the most. I was watching it as it aired. I believe Shaw broke the world record time which is why it was such a big deal as it was the shortest held record in history! It was such a shame to see his sheer anguish. Alas, such is the nature of competition.

For the rest of my life I will be spontaneously bursting out laughing when I remember this event. I had to stop watching the whole video at the point where the cut log landed on his chest. The next day I had the whole family watch from the start to the finish. The barrel over the wall disaster at the same event was even funnier. You can't make this stuff up.

haha it's cool though, I'm not an avid fan of these competitions but I watch them whenever I notice that they're on. If they had more quirky events I think I would tune in more often, the atlas stones and truck pulls get old.

@Arm Wars - Siłowanie na rękę Big Z beat Pudzianowski in 2004 but he didn't win. Z was 2nd and Pudzianowski was 3rd. Then Z left WSM for 4 years. If he competed those years believe he'd have the most WSM titles easy.

Great stuff Loz. One of the funniest moments for me was with Jimmy Pollock in 1990 or 91. His athlete liked to be slapped in the face before a big lift, and Pollock accidentally slapped the wrong competitor before an overhead stone lift. It did seem to help him though! :D

I completely forgot about Kaz knocking that barrel from MVM's shoulder and nearly killing OD. If ever the back elbow to break a nose was warranted and then an ass-whooping from your own teammate expected, this was it. Awesome content as usual and much easier to watch than the injuries again. :)

Mateusz has always been one of my favs, he always seems to have a great attitude and is smaller than the other guys but lifts just as heavy. But watching him do those stones with a torn bicep was incredible and made me respect him on a whole other level

It’s difficult to for those who never saw him compete back then to understand just how mainstream famous Geoff Capes was in the early 1980s, probably much more so than Eddie is these days - absolutely everyone knew who Capes was. To watch him compete with JPS was the stuff of legend!!

I have gotta say Kieliszkowski has had some of my most open mouth moments! His overhead medley in the WSM 2019 final 🤯🔥 the Cyr record at The Arnold, the stone to shoulder (as in your countdown) was nuts, the Viper pressing of the log :.. but equally his overall abilities with vehicle pulls etc. Mikhail’s deadlifts - inspirational..... Truly the moment that I always remember and smile though has to be the Brian / Thor keg toss - even if Brian hadn’t said what he said, Thor’s throwing was phenomenal. Great countdown Loz 🤘🏻
