One of my FAVORITE names from Harry Potter is Andromeda, it’s Sirus Black’s cousin and the mother of Nymphadora Tonks. Andromeda was the only on of her sisters (being Bellatrix LeStrange and Narcissa Malfoy) to break the family tradition of marrying pure blood, and married a muggle born or half blood out of love. She was Sirus Black’s favorite cousin and she was undeniably one of the best of her family’s line. Also, post the death of Remius Lupin and her daughter Nymphadora in the battle of Hogwarts, she raised their son- her grandson!! I’m obsessed with the name, just thought I would share!!

When I have a daughter one day her first and middle name will be: Elsie Evelyn. My great grandma's name was Elsie and my grandma's middle name was Evelyn. I love a lot of boy names but they are so challenging! My partner is set on the middle name "Rafael" after one of his uncles who passed and I am struggling to find a first name that is unique and goes well with Rafael. any thoughts what goes well with Elsie?

The "mascot" for Ravenclaw is an eagle because it's that was Rowena's patronus (which is an animal representation of a person) and while a raven would make sense because RAVENclaw and ravens represent like smarts and stuff it's an eagle and all Harry Potter fans should know this

My daughter goes by the name Newt and I was stunned by how accepting everyone was of it- was expecting weird looks, etc. (her name is Elizabeth but ever since she was in my womb I just felt she was a 'Newt' and she answers to it as well as Elizabeth)
