Excellent. My coworker sold me his Volca Keys, first synth I ever laid hands on. Now I just bought myself the Volca Drum and the Volca Mixer (yes yes I know the synth pros think the Volca Mixer is "limiting" and I should have bought an interface and blah blah, it suits my needs just fine so far) This is exactly the inspiration I needed to get me hyped. Just look at what talented people can do with these instruments! Love that you're giving us 45 minutes to enjoy. One day I'll get there haha. But damn... I find videos like this super useful because I've found that trying to imitate people with talent and skill (like the gentleman here) has been an effective way for me to learn these instruments. So there's a lot of "how did he do that?!?!" and sitting over my volcas painstakingly trying to imitate what I'm hearing. So these long videos give me plenty to work with. Much appreciated.
@Volcaniced2 жыл бұрын
Hey thank you for joining the volca family and thanks for your feedback. The best way to learn an instrument is to use it. And the best Tipp I can give you on jamming is: don't stop when you do a mistake. Just go on and on and on. You might have recognised that there are mistakes even in my recorded jammings. This is my statement to all the musicians out there .... Its not bad just of an mistake .. it's your way to get better and better. And now jam jam jam.

Brilliant! Don't take any notice of Igor!!! More fool him for listening to something he did'nt like.. for 45 minutes. ....Aghhhh! Did I hear a very faint background soothing reverb? The blue thing far middle right of picture? I loved the jam. Thanks for being so inspiring to me. ( My volca collection is expanding). Bought a leather man bag that it fits in perfectly. Off to the botanical gardens to learn and jam!.

Thank you for sharing this. The volca keys is the instrument I have that I have used the least and I feel the least comfortable with, so I really enjoy hearing it featured this way. Great use of a minimal arrangement, and great sound and music. And I am especially fond of the 1111000000001111 section.

It is amazing to see (and hear) what someone with real talent can get out of these Volcas.👍🤩 What new Volcas should Korg make next? I’d like to see a vocoder (with proper mic/guitar input input plugs) or maybe a Theremin like Volca!

hey bumboclat. thanks for listening to my jam. at the end I am doing nothing else then layering sounds together. there is not much I could show in a tutorial cause this are basics of the functionality of the volca keys. What exactly do you want to know? is there a position in the video where I can explain something?
@bumboclat2 жыл бұрын
@@Volcaniced I... can't really answer that to be honest. At first I had a hard time figuring out how you write the step sequencer, but after replaying the steps it made sense. My Vkeys will arrive tomorrow (it pays off living very close to Thomann) and your videos helped me a lot already. I still lack the music theory needed for chords and arpeggios, but KZbin has a lot of tutorials on that topic too. Thanks again, your style is very inspiring.

Hello Igor, I don't think I have to justify my music or the names I give my pieces of music. If you don't like it, I'm sorry, but I can't change that. The only thing I can recommend is to stop visiting my channel and avoid my music. Have a nice day.

Wow! Another great video. I absolutely love it. I find my Keys the hardest of all the Volcas to play as it it's very easy to be over enthusiastic with a knob turn and all of a sudden you've gone from a beautiful sound to something very bad! I love using the motion sequence on the LFO rate to get a "stutter" effect though. May I ask, do you have a Volca NuBass? The Bass is my favourite Volca, but I wish you could motion sequence the cutoff & peak and I believe you can do that on the NuBass. Pebbles and 1111000000001111 are my favourites by the way. Keep up the great work.
