KORG Volca BassFull Tutorial
In this video I give a tutorial on the Volca Bass from KORG. The Volca Bass is a 3 oscillator bass synth which allows you to create bass lines with a 16 step sequencer. Each oscillator can be controlled separately to create 3 note chords and staked however you want.
This is a full tutorial showing how to edit the sound, create patterns, use synth controls, midi settings and edit a sounds using all of the onboard controls.

Best tutorial! Funny when I synch it to the roland j6 the volca runs double speed of the roland, and I don’t see any 1/2, 1/4 or 1/16 etc options on the bass.

yup, I have.... though you cant really get a bass guitar soundI primarily use this for bass synth sounds... I use an alesis sr18 which has a bass function for more realistic basss guitar sounds... the volca bass is great for background bass synth, for example "the terminator" theme Has some nice background synth.... this can do thaat kind of thing. It will certainly help a song feeling less empty and add some harmonic

Hi I am having ongoing issues the stereo interconnect cable. It seems very finicky, the sounds always goes out. I bought several new cables and the cables are fine. I have 3 Volca (Bass, Keys, Beats) and ALL of them have this issue. Is this typical of Volca? Tysm. I am unable to use them rn, any typs greatly appreciated.

I think the interconnect cable should be mono. The stereo cable included is for audio out.

hey, towards the end of this video you mentioned people possibly pairing this with a delay or reverb pedal. are there any you would recommend for that? there are so many out there but if you had to choose one you really like with this synth what would it be? thanks and cheers

Yes it's hard to choose, there are so many. The eventide pedals are very good, expensive but good. Stymon pedals are also very good. I'm after some my self. If you want to go cheaper boss pedals are also good. Personally I own boss dd3 delay and uad starlight tape delay pedals. I'm still after a decent reverb. Looking at eventide h6

Bit late, but I enjoy putting the Volca Bass through the Korg Monotron Delay, or the Korg NTS-1. Both are fairly cheap for their capabilities.
