Still can't believe it has 400k + miles. Very impressive. These M113k engines are eternal!

thats interesting on the oil used. I'm using liquimoly 5w40 with anti friction in my s55 amg with 200,000.

I used the same on my CLK55AMG, but it burns blue on start up and on kickdown. I have 170k KM. Ill switch back to Mobil/Petronas

I’m surprised you haven’t needed the supercharger pulley bearing or actual supercharger bearings. The smoke comes from valve stem seals being worn. The rings don’t really wear.

Hi from the UK - Thanks for this update. I have my own (S211) E55 AMG and I found you after looking for how to replace the headlight lenses. You have a new subscriber and I also followed you on instagram. Looking forward to the next video.

Hi guys, I started watching your videos when I got my 2008 Mercedes E350 4Matic. I love it. It was a special deal from my older sister. she kept up all the service, so it basically runs and looks like new. I do have a question for you. not sure if it is cool to ask here but it's worth a try for me. I just got the oil changed and for some reason not that they are related it is only a time thing. now when I put the car in drive it takes a couple of seconds literally to go into drive. like maybe 5. seems a bit weird to me. when it drives it seems good. but I have been letting it sit for now until I can get it looked at. it has 128k miles and the transmission was serviced @ 118k my thoughts are it is low on fluid. can you let me know if you have seen this before? am i on the right track? once again if this is not permitted here let me know. thanks very much! Love your channel guys!

Thanks for the support! We’ve never heard of that issue. I’d definitely start by making sure the fluid level is correct

I bought an e55 march 2021 for $7000 at 144000 miles and I changed engine mounts, transmission mount, coil packs wires, put on colder spark plugs, k&n filters, longtube headers. It had 21 codes and I got it down to 1 code that I can't figure out. P0600 (p203e-4) serial communications link. No signal to instrument cluster. Mercedes said they can't communicate with the car idk

So sorry you put so much into it after the initial buy. My e55 was dead at 35k miles

Did you mention the timing chain?
@theconfortibrothers28273 жыл бұрын
We have not replaced it and there’s no record of it ever being replaced
@zachbargo3 жыл бұрын
pretty sure they have a double roller timing chain which makes them pretty much indestructible
@TheBaccaClench3 жыл бұрын
Timing chains and the guides on these cars aren’t issues. The only issue is with the oil pump tensioner which is on its own separate chain. Tensioner slackens and chain slaps against the inside of the timing cover. Had it happen w my e55, but after some hard hard driving and better maintenance, don’t really hear it anymore. 15k miles later and no issues. 176k now. Or timing cover is just that much worn 🤣🤣

I thought the Highest Mileage M113k was the 1.1 million mile one?

Just curious, what would y'all recommend for 6'6 tall guy looking to buy a Mercedes from the 2000s? My only concern would be ABC suspension of course but I do my own work so I would just swap for coilovers instead. Also looking for below the 15,000 dollar range, just asking since yall are very experienced with this generation of mercedes.
@theconfortibrothers28273 жыл бұрын
The s class would definitely be the most comfortable because it has a ton of room but you could probably fit in the e class comfortably too. The c class probably won’t be a good choice
@adamsoumayah41033 жыл бұрын
@@theconfortibrothers2827 thanks for the response! I guess it's gonna be an S class because the long wheelbase seems good for passengers as well.

What do you think about mercedes e220 cdi 2005 with high mileage. I really want to get one and it looks really clean and been looked after. Thanks guys 👍😊😊
@theconfortibrothers28272 жыл бұрын
Don't know much about CDI's but we do know they last forever if properly maintained

400k miles for that engine is nothing. If you correct with the oil changes you Will bem good. I,vê seen One with 1.100 miles on it.
