Another great vid mate. Yeah a fan kit might be worth exploring for sure. That’s the thing about solo missions, tread carefully, but when your on the bike it’s easy to forget how quickly it can turn to shit until it happens.

Thanks mate. Yeah I need to look at a fan kit, and you need to pic your battles when riding solo for sure thanks for watching .

Steve, i have the same bike and bought a Trail Tech Universal Fan Kit and a Outlaw 1.8 Bar radiator cap. Problem solved
@BrokenSprocket5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Peter I will have a look on the net and see if I can find them were did you get yours?
@MrAelarag15 жыл бұрын
@@BrokenSprocket Both from Ebay buddy, i believe you can get them from MX store for the same price. The Fan kit needs to be fitted to the left hand side radiaor (as your sitting on the bike) as it wont fit on the right and the Outlaw radiator cap fits under the IMS tank. I run the bike at about 70 degrees before the fan turns on and it runs ice cold all day.
@MrAelarag15 жыл бұрын
The copper temperature probe on the fan kit needs to be shaved down slightly to fit between the fins but its an easy fix.

Wow, you know when a hill looks very steep on a gopro, then it is a really steep hill. With all those rocks to fall on it's probably a good idea you didn't continue alone. Nice video.

Cool that log sticking out about head high looked like a snake or something trying to get you lol. That’s got to be tough on that large 450 bike. Good on you for trying bud! Too much heat on top of that is even more torture. Be well mate.

i overheated my 2018 CRF250R on the break-ins, coolant came out and i was worried i damaged something, put some water in the radiators 30 mins later and now i have like 15-20 hours on the bike and its still good, is there anything i should still look out for?
@BrokenSprocket5 жыл бұрын
yeah I think they spit the coolant out before any damage can be done I've had no problems with mine since thanks for watching.

Radiator fans work well, the trail tech ones are good but way overpriced, if you like making things yourself you can use good sized CPU fans from a PC and rig it up with a simple on/off switch, no need for a thermostat, just switch the fans off and on When you want.
@silvertopenduro27035 жыл бұрын
ohh Steve, Steve , Steve. Mate going out on your own! reach out and let see if someone can come with you. I had crf450x that boiled over through the overflow. A new radiator cap with new fluids seemed to help. The new cap was a bastard to push on, that just indicated how the spring had weakened on the old one! if that tip helps! "SilverTop - Douggie"
