630 hours in and I'm falling more in love with Pax Dei day after day.

I'm 343hrs in, and loving the game. I definitely know what you mean about lack of players. I'm trying to be patient while we wait for a content update, but I can feel myself getting restless. But until then, I'm in the 20/30 for all crafting professions to see how they interact and which ones I like the most.

Thanks for your view and comment. I also started grinding through most professions.... Ohh my word... Some of them when you get into the 26 h 30+ range is sooooooo grindy. It's a little too much.

yeah hopefully when the content update comes out, they will rework things a little.

For this kind of ambitious games made by small developers it takes them a lot of time to reach players high expectations.

Thanks for your watch and comment. There are some huge expectations for this game, and your right it's very ambitious. Here's hoping they can deliver enough to keep the instant gratification community happy 😄

I have about half as many hours in the game as you, but similar impressions. Unlike you, however, I’ve been shaped by games like Ultima Online and EVE Online. I really like Pax Dei, and whenever I have time, I’m happy to launch the game. However, the way upcoming changes are communicated makes me uneasy. The small population doesn’t bother me either, as it allows me easy access to resources, but I do wonder what the game would look like with a larger online presence, and I hope the developers will address the distribution of resources in the game world. The crafting system in Pax Dei is great. I do hope they introduce the ability to recover components from what you’ve crafted and the option to craft from containers. I also don’t think the current crafting requires much grinding. I’d even say that some skills progress too quickly. Pax Dei is being developed as a sandbox, not a theme park, and a sandbox is a simplified simulation of reality, so learning shouldn’t be too fast. What’s more, you only learn once. To those who feel skill progression in Pax Dei is too slow, I recommend EVE Online. Once you see skill learning times measured in months, you might change your mind. I also miss having a skill point limit in Pax Dei, though I’m aware such a limit can be bypassed with additional characters.

You would be better of playing on a NA shard. I'm Aussie and play on a NA shard with no problems at all, if you're thinking of playing this long term you can just predict what will happen to the SEA shard much like all the New World AP servers that ended up dead and removed because there are not enough players from our zone to keep a server full for any time length.

Yeah similar to me, I'll take the time before the big update on Nov 5 to see if I can find a more active clan. Thanks for watching.
