I love it, looks just like the local today, except the engine is in better paint, not the blah of today. I notice they wyed the train the opposite of today,and the back up light sat atop the tender instead of being recessed into the body.

Well, if it were a nice maroon with gold stripping it would match the coaching stock quite nicely, but personally I think green is better, particularly the dark green of the 1970s, but that of the 1990s will do too.

Jacob Woods I was just saying maybe #722 could stay green temporarily, #630 could stay black, but #4501's boiler in the far future could be temporarily painted bright red with gold trimming, leaving the cab and tender black. #4501 could return with a new name entitled "The Red Mikado"

They slowed it down a little bit just last year. I think what happened was that they replaced the pneumatic piston that operates the bell.

The maroon mikado is California Western 45 (ex-Brownlee Lumber 3). 4501 has no connection to red, at least use a N&W loco. SOU did use green, so green makes sense to some.
