My first Ironman 70.3!!🥇 6hr49min55 🏊🏽 1.9km 🚴🏽 90km 🏃🏽 21.1km
Made it to the finish line and super happy with how it all turned out! 👊🏽💥 Even better I had the fambam there supporting me all the way through, making the pain bearable and making the day all the more fun.
The swim took a bit longer than I expected, but now I have the confidence to swim 2km in the open water. 🏊🏽‍♂️ The bike was a lot harder than I thought with 1200m of elevation over 90km and one really steep hill which I cramped on. 🚴🏽 I knew it was going to be a tough run starting the half marathon with fatigued legs but that’s what the training was for! 🏃🏽 Finished strong to reach the finish line and have the fam cheer me on!! 🏁
Thank you to everyone who followed along the journey and supporting throughout the last few months and on the day. Really means a lot!
I’m already excited for the next training block with a few key focus areas to really improve on. This certainly won’t be the only triathlon and already planning and excited for the next event! But first, looking forward to a few weeks of down time, enjoy some junk food, Netflix, and a few weekends of sleeping in!! 🛌 😴 #portmacquarieironman
