Spectacular colors! I'm so glad you went with a yellow base, I've been wanting to try that myself for a while. In one of the yellow sections you'll notice that there is a thin line of white outlining the purples and blues.... I really love that white there. It really makes the colors pop! Great piece all together!

I don't know how you came up with all these dark colors to go with the mustard but somehow it works! The mustard almost looks gold with all the dark colors. I guess that's why your the artist and I'm the watcher. LOL 😆 I think the mustard would look great with the colors used on the painting just before this one. I also think a copper, silver, gold, on top of black and white would be beautiful. 😍

I don’t know how you do it. You have such a talent with colors and matching them together. When I first saw the colors I thought ‘uh oh’.. but again it looks amazing. The mustard yellow almost looks like a non metallic gold, through my phone screen anyway, but it has again turned out amazingly. Thank you for sharing your talent. I saw someone else mention it, but what is it about the scraping of the drips that is so satisfying 😂 so glad I’m not the only one!

Kanella, have you noticed that when you first bring the blow dryer down to the paint is when that pop of cells forms? It seemed really obvious to me in this video. Your blow dryer stays focused on one spot just a tiny bit longer, and presumably that focused heat brings out those cells. I always thought a smoky mustard would work, and this proves it. The colour contrasts are lovely! I love where the blue-black came through.

Hi Kanella, this is absolutely gorgeous and I knew from the color scheme that it was going to turn out gorgeous especially with the purple. But I'd like to see mustard with brown, maroon, coral /salmon, as well as Crimson red / Vermilion red and a bright yellow and a gold.
