I remember that morning! You and Phil were texting. Thanks again for the coaching days we spent with you, Nick. We emerged step-level better sailors! Also, lovely to see Solta again. 🙂

David, I wish you all the best to reach the sweet spot between fun with and without breaking stuff on your boat 😊 It’s great to see your experience with Nick. Thanks!

@@christophmilz thank you. Fortunately, the breakages are more due to age and wear and tear than errors. So will be happy to keep it that way. And as they say “experience is what you gain just after you needed it”. But Nick has been great in providing the benefits of his knowledge and experience.

Where do you find/buy those bags?

These ones are a bit cheap, will not last a long time. I bought them from a cheap homewares shop here in Croatia called Tedi. I am looking to develop this product and have it built from strong. not rotting and easy draining material (similar to dive bags) with strong handles

That's a big damage! 😱😱😱

As Nick said, it was only the stitching and webbing that gave way on the mainsail. One Sail in Split repaired and serviced it along with some repairs to the Genoa in a couple of days for less than €200. Replacing a snapped Genoa sheet a week later cost just as much 🙄

@@davidllewelyn sorry, didn't watch all the video trough, but the damage on the mainsail is caused by a typical misuse of that sail. When sailing with wind from the stern, specially strong wind, that sail simply shouldn't be used. Thank you.

@@alvivasc we were downwind in only 18 knots and therefore I am interested in why you say it’s the wrong sail?

@@davidllewelyn the demonstration is in the fact that you broke it.

@@davidllewelyn mainsail is a dangerous sail, especially with wind from the back of the boat, I've seen many booms, mainsails, and other stainless equipment broken in that course
