Just finished rebuilding and modding a Vespa Px200e Disc 2003 that I last rode in 2007 after crashing on leave from military service. At least 90% of everything I put into it as far as components are concerned, was as a result of your channel. Many thanks for all the sharing of tips and experience. It's been a hard year - I had a stroke and ended up in hospital, with PTSD and neurological complications, and have used the Vespa customisation and rebuild as a form of therapy. I now have a very much modified scooter with a 221 Malossi, Polini Venturi, a load of carb mods on a 24/24, with a SIP Race clutch, SIP Road 3, uprated suspension, uprated ignition and too many tweaks to go through. After 40 years of owning scooters, I now have a Vespa that I love the look of and which also runs as a lovely tourer, with a load of mid range torque and acceleration. Thank you for all you do and share. It's really helped me have a great bike and rebuild my confidence. Your channel has been an amazing therapy and gift. Cheers, Mate!!

I looked into building a BFA 306 and it really didn't add up. In the end I redirected the money into an RD400 Yamaha. So much fun and always puts a big grin on my face. When I sell it I will probably make a profit. The Vespa is still my daily ride and I have other nice bikes for when the mood takes me. Tuning Vespa to that degree is just like a fetish. Im no masochist.

👌🍻 it will never become a motorbike BUT some additional safety as i call it, was never so easy and cheap available as nowadays. and all info, to do it reliable, is on hand too. bit more. YES but the unbelievable expensive bfa, for the outcome. no. not. boys just need a few 2wheeler. ie standard vespa. pimped vespa. auto. & a proper motorbike 100hp+ 😜

That was so much fun to watch. I have never had my LML 2T (187cc) above 100 kph. It’s terrifying. Original worn out Escort shocks aren’t helping.

i've always liked vespa and wanted to daily drive one. recently i got myself a 1962 super 150cc but the problem is i cant really ride it daily. I've looked into replacing the engine with a bigger one and i kinda get the idea. But, gas/petrol situations has been clouding my mind up. if i get a bigger engine, should i make a custom gas tank for bigger gas/petrol capacity, or should i use LML gas tank for reliability and ease of use ? basically, i want to ride my vespa daily to work or to race from a cafe to another cafe. what should i do?? please help a newcomer pleaseeee

@@FreakMoPed8 A super has the old VBB 2 port 6V engine and 8" wheels. You can do a PX engine swap but then you have to convert to 12V and still have the shitty 8" front drum. You can either use a 8 to 10" conversion rim on the front or modify the PX drum brake to fit a 8" wheel but then you also have to change the gear ratio of the clutch.

Sind die aktuellen BfA Gehäuse eigentlich besser verarbeite als die von 2018? Du hattest ja doch viel nach arbeiten bei deinem BfA case.. vg

Just an out of the chorus voice...... I have a 244 rotary valve Vespa with 28 smartcarb, another one in process of building with a 260 reed and 38 smartcarb and another one with a real 306, the native one with original bfa expansion and a really suitable carburettor for it, a PWM40, btw tuned in BFA factory, so i can compare them, in my opinion the Bfa 306 was not born for being used for touring and daily driven, but the difference is enormous if compared with 244s... Too much power? Yes, for sure, it scares you every time you try to get full throttle, i completely agree that using it in non straight lines is a little tricky, but it's pure adrenaline, and i suspect that the original goal of the builder was that......

totally agreed. its a drag race engine, not designed for road. sip bought this project, and promoted it as very good for road. a dream to have a 50hp touring engine, ideal touring engine etc and so on. which is marketing and ok, yes. but its worth pointing out / showing also other opinions. bfa with expansion is of course a different class, a lot of guys are using it with box and there the performance plus shrinks massively compared to a 244 ie with expansion (as i included in the vid) my guess a 244 is faster in the hills and curves and will also catch up again, even when bfa pulls ahead on straights bfa306 tip: whatch ur gearbox oil amount and be aware of potential clutch side false air due to this silly ring. glue should be used there. and the engine half surfaces reworked. i am not the only one with these issues, i know quite a lot of bfa owner. some of them already sold it / or put it in a corner due to fun lost.

Brilliant bit of kit the 306 but not worth the money

BFA seems so overpriced and quality control just isn't there... Would much rather build a nice malossi VR-ONE 244/245cc and use the rest of the money on suspension+wheels, brakes, nice paintjob maybe! 😁
@FreakMoPed8 Жыл бұрын
exactly. keep in mind that sip bought this 306 project, thats why it is a sipbfa, an iso9001 certified producer 🙃
