This video hit the nail on the head, sterrett, Greenlee, drill doctor, I worked in logistics for Northrop Grumman, all these brands were mainstays in production and deployment. I’ve got a vintage Technics in my personal collection. Japan made. This video was perfect motivation to get after the things, I know. Thank you. 🤙🏼🙏🏻

Hi Pete, been watching you a few years now. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and not asking for joining a paid program to get more information. I got started last year reselling and I love it. I first started with electronics then to vintage now everything. I will be opening up a different store also. I really got into it because of you and the videos you put out, so thank you and may God continue to bless your business.

Yes - Any knowledge on what you tweaked to get back into the selling grove would be appreciated. We felt the "good 'till canceled bump" and still haven't fully recovered. Somethings we tried worked.... Others have actually made things worse. We are a much smaller outfit then you Pete but are constantly watching and learning from you - very appreciated! Keep up the great work.

Man I appreciate the hustle, I started selling stuff on ebay and I had some old things around the house I no longer needed. I sold everything. I find it difficult to get good prices from estate sales. I have to look more at the garage sales. I love going to them it gives me a great perspective on neighborhoods.

VERY interested in hearing your thoughts on the change from 30-day to Good til Cancelled. Noticed a significant drop in sales from Apr-May for my business. Amazon sales now make up 85% of my sales (when It used to be 60%). Wondering if I have to manually end eBay listings and relist each month in order to keep up with their algorithm? Looking forward to the info you share on the next video on this!
@EgoShredder5 жыл бұрын
If you have one off items then yes I would stop and relist until sold. However if you have a quantity of items and need to keep your sales history going, relisting is not an option. Or is it? Maybe Pete can elaborate on this?

Pete your what sold videos are a revelation~ I always come away smh at the good stuff I'm missing out on. And you're right, the new good til cancelled is very confusing -- looking forward to your video breaking it down.... Thank you!
@We_Are_eBay5 жыл бұрын
Exactly. It is meant to introduce confusion to sellers. I have been selling full time on Ebay since 2006. Since 2006 there have been several disruptive changes. We have gone from the Ebay bible and ask Griff to a Jeff Bezos wanna be and everything in between. This new GTC has probably brought in a ton of new revenue for Ebay as many of us have stopped running stores in lieu of using the 50 free and offers listing system.

Hi Pete, Iove your channel. Id like to make a comment about buying items and selling for parts. I am a photographer (54) and ran into a seller locally on Craigs a few months ago who was a local old school film photographer who had fallen on really hard times. He had listed a large lot of Mamiya RZ67 film camera equipment for sale. When I say large lot, im talking about 6 bodies, 6-8 lenses, film backs, winders etc.. All professional medium format 120 film gear. Kicker; all had been poorly stored and in rough condition (some rust, heavy dust etc..) He only asked $100 for all of it. I bought it all, 2 large boxes purely with the intent of cleaning up each piece, researching and listing as each item on ebay. I've netted so far >$800 after fees and still going. Got to know your niche products and keep an eye out.

Not a lie, I just started selling some of my stuff on eBay, just things around my house mostly. I found a bag in my attic with cameras and lenses in it that I got from my grandfather. I haven't been through the whole thing yet, but last night, I was showing my girlfriend the bag and pulled out 2 of the cameras, but left one out on my picture station just by coincidence. The one I left out is the same exact one that Pete showed for his last item, with the same case and lens.

Guys - I have a newbie question here. Is it possible to flip items that you have purchased on eBay? So for example, is it possible to buy things for super cheap via auction and then sell them on via Buy It Now on eBay for a reliable profit? - I understand that going to Flea markets etc. Is the best way- but would it be possible from just using JUST Ebay? Cheers.

Be careful with starrett and any other brands. Make sure to check what the particular model sells for before you buy. The level is one thing, but micrometers and such may not bring great money. Machinists like new tools for known accuracy and dont want to pay much for used stuff.
