It is a bit rushed. Almost like he is spending most of the day driving very long distances and only getting a short amount of time to edit the video before its bed time. I cant understand how people cant understand this. Its not like he is traveling with a top gear/grand tour size film crew. Its just one man and the fact he is managing to make daily content at all while taking on this epic journey is amazing.

If you have no car issues then driving across the Nullabor is fairly safe, if you have any issue then it could be some time before you see another human! A bloke about 2 months ago died up in the NT after having motorbike issues, he had plenty of food and water with him but still died from dehydration. I've been on a few trips now where I haven't seen another human for 8-10 hours at a time. Always best to be prepared! Interesting fact... the Trans-Australian Railway that crosses the Nullabor from Adelaide to Perth is the worlds longest straight train track.

He’s becoming the classic whinging Pom. The heat, the bird poo, a cloudy sunset, shops shut early... it’s summer in Australia. Wipe the poo off the door with some wet paper, keep wearing a hat, turn on the air con, enjoy what’s here rather than why it’s different from what you’re used to and get into the experience.

Glad to hear you're doing the Nullarbor, it's not as featureless as people say. I found it quite enlightening and magical. Especially as you leave Port Augusta, it feels like the countryside is just opening out in front of you. The roadhouses are well enough apart that you shouldn't need to worry about fuel, but it's good that you're going prepared. You'll be able to stay at the roadhouses as well. Don't stay at Border Village, very thin walls, continue about 70 kms to Mundrabilla roadhouse. Night and twilight is the worst times for kangaroos. If you're doing 8 hours a day you should be fine. You will get phone reception at each major and even minor settlement, mostly 3G, don't expect to be able to get internet.

Hey mate, the most unlikely beautiful place in Perth is at 33 Alfred Road in North Fremantle. That address is just some random house but that cul-de-sac has the most extraordinary lookout, with cliff trails either side. The just down the road, 100 Harvest Road, North Fremantle. The water police HQ with the cutest little river beach, the water is perfect and still fresh as can be as you're so close to the ocean. Enjoy.

Sam, to help people understand the temperatures you have been experiencing, in the early to mid '90's I worked in Riyadh and some weekends 'we' went out to the desert to 'explore' and occasional have a BBQ. Once at work the temperature rose to 44,' but I don't recall if it was F or C. Either way, it was amazingly hot, but not as hot as what you have been through.
