Yeah. To say my faith in this team is shot is an understatement. I've followed this core for a long time and they haven't looked this lost ever. It's not a talent issue, it's an issue with leadership, mid rounding and roles. Ethan as an IGL was always a bad idea, but most of us assumed the "high end talent" would just bail them out. It's almost like any team with a semblance of coordination can take down NRG because pro player skill gap is so negligible. The only roster change this roster needs to make if finding a IGL.

The irony is that NRG has ascendant level strats and the only reason they got this far is just the raw talent their players have. This was a championship-worthy team that is struggling to make playoffs against fairly easy matchups.

NRG on Lotus genuinely looks like they would be better of with playing Clove. Demon1 can't play Omen (as far as we know) and for some reason they don't want him to play Astra there, so Clove remains, who would actually fit their playstyle, probably better than Brimstone does, and giving Demon1 hyper selfish abilities (heal + self rez) is not a bad idea either, especially when you throw away your blastpacks at the start of the round and need a body to throw into a site as an entry.

The only thing about EG on lotus is after you have had a full game against NRG of doing the opposite of what you expect, next game you try to just do the wrong thing positioning wise to guess what they are gonna do. 22:02 I would think he would be watching the lineup players back as they get ready, and ult spike on tap after the mollies have been used up. Is there a reason why the Kayo is playing lineups rather than being on site? Unlike KJ mollies where you need to invest some time in a relatively vulnerable state to trigger the mollies so it's better if she is playing safe lineups, Kayo doesn't have that limitation so if he played back site it would be way better than sova playing there. This is thinking hindsight for sure, and not be under stress in an official game, but you would think pros wouldn't have fumbled this so hard...

I think it's become evident that Boostio's IGLing was invaluable along with Potter's coaching with last year's EG. Thrusting Ethan into IGL just makes him not comfortable. Combo that with the fact that Jawg was always there to fill the Raze gap in which NRG severely lack. Sure you can put Vic on Raze but that means Demon1 has to play controller which is forcing Marved onto sentinel. Everything with 2023 EG was setup to setup Demon1.

Looking back in 2023 EG vs PRX championship, when demon1 was the sole duelist they lost the one match against PRX. Maybe now in NRG, demon1 should stop being the sole duelist. He is only suitable as secondary duelist or other roles. (You can also see him constantly lurk, or goes for solo plays. But he is forced to do the team play which he isn't comfortable with) There is a reason Christine put him off duelist role in the finals. I think he is in the same situation as Yay. They are good aimers. They are not supposed to entry and get traded off. They are supposed to be the one that trade off their duelist, and steam roll from there.

Yeah. Eg used d1 and jaw or rarely just one of them. This might be another tenz situation where demon1 will improve with a role change to tenz-omen/kayo with enough time (like a lot of time) or they get him a replacement jaw which would probably be victor. If d1 can only thrive in 2023 eg, and not in nrg, nrg has to do their best to make similar circumstances to make their star player thrive. They have d1 and ethan. Vic can be jaw, crashes can be com and marved will have to be boostio They need to fix roles before they can dream of fixing the calling

@@yuvvrajkperson Personally I think Demon1 sensitivity, and his ego just isn't suitable as a duelist. He goes for crazy aggresive plays as a duelist which he usually doesn't do as support role during EG. His sensitivity is also one of the lowest in the pro scene. On the other hand, most good duelist in the tier 1 scene uses high sensitivity in order to flick and check corners. He is a good aimer, which i think a supporting role and kill trader is a significant better role for him.

NRG needs to force demon1 to learn other agents at top level. his agent pool is almost as small as yay’s is. all he can actually play is jett and brimstone (sorta). his raze is terrible and his omen is even worse. if NRG wants any success at all with this roster they need to be flexible. right now all i’m seeing is demon1 struggling on agents he clearly can’t play properly.

They already have victor... I feel like demon1 can't play omen or cypher. Look at their lotus comp, instead of marve omen, they have d1 on brim and marve on cypher because none of them can play kj aside from victor. That's why d1 is playing raze on sunset because cypher is really dominant on that map and its hard to play that map without a refreshing smoke because specially on defense. You'll always need to resmoke a choke point

its a rushed smoke.... even in plat rank we use way deeper smoke in that corner.... it gives jawg enough angle to quickly peek and get 1 or 2 kills like he did in the match..... they know it too but they rushed it....
