How would your car card and waybill system work for unit coal trains
@kevinbrown1043 жыл бұрын
I have seen car cards that represent blocks of cars as a way to simplify things. However, if the unit trains do not change make up nor get switched out, I question whether they need cards at all. That's what I do with the two unit trains on currently running on my layout. Hope that helps - Kevin

What if the dispatchers spots an empty car that is needed at another industry
@kevinbrown1043 жыл бұрын
If a car gets spotted at the wrong industry, the card should still be there to show the mistake. I have no more waybills than the siding capacity, so there are not supposed to be any "off spot" situations. I hope that answers your question.

Why so many track cleaning cars? It seems like your layout room is pretty clean. Your layout looks great and operations should be a lot of fun. Lots of fun stuff here. Good work and thanks for sharing.

Thanks for your comments. I read about a layout in MR many years ago that placed a track cleaning car in its freight trains, and it just sounded like a good idea to try someday. Anything that can minimize track cleaning chores will be welcome.
