4640 personal posture seat repair

Im in the middle of this project on my 4450. The non serviceable cylinder is currently $1100 from Deere. If that's my issue I may look into the air ride system someone mentioned

Absolutely, the air seat is like $1500 and then you get swivel, air ride and new seat.

What size wrench for the accumulator and how did you break it loose? Have 2 I need to service. Thanks

Is it 7/8? The hex is up at the front of it. With engine off move seat height lever up and down a couple times and make sure it ends in down position. Then just spin it off.

Are you sure this is not a Hydracushioned seat instead of a Personal Posture seat? The OPS manual looks different.

The deere I would call the hydracushion , I thought all hydra seats were labeled personal posture. Then you had the mechanical seat.

Thanks for the video. My dad and I are getting the JD 4040 back in the field and would like a nice ride like when it was new in 1980. Lol.
