The Polaris Ranger 570 midsize, Glacier Pro Plow and new Kenda Bear Claw HTR tires make quick clean up work of our first snowfall of the year. This is a great ATV / UTV for snow plowing.

I know this is a whole year later.. but I saw this video and thought I'd surprise my husband with a snow plow.. 570 full size just arrived a couple of days ago.. we live in Northern Minnesota..and I think a plow would just blow him away and make his life better.. and positive you'd like that size plow could you please tell me if it's a 66-in or a 72?.. stay safe 🤗

The only bad thing about using a small plow blade is that there is always a lot of spillage. I enjoyed the video though and thanks for sharing!

Yep. Used to dread the big snowstorms but with the plow and side by side my driveway takes about 5 minutes to dig out
@deererider5 жыл бұрын
Hey Hometown, just a quick suggestion. If you adjust the vertical angle of the plow a little you will not push the snow as much, but roll it off the top and to the side. Then with a little speed your snow will form a small wave, almost like when you see the tubular waves that the surfers ride. Also if you lower your skid shoes at the beginning of the season, you avoid picking up to much stone and then can raise them once you have a solid base. Best of luck with the new baby coming soon!!! I'm about to be a grandfather for the first time this January.

Great Choice 👍 on tires we ran Kendas on our Polaris 500 midsize crew 5 years of trails and rocks mud flawless no issues ever I have no complaints on Kenda HTR Bearclaws. I like that plow very easy to mount it up on the 570 it does a good job. Thanks for sharing.
@HometownAcres5 жыл бұрын
I noticed a huge difference in ride quality after I put them on too. Seemed to soften up the ride and made turning a lot easier too. Maybe it was just the placebo effect haha
@teamstucker6245 жыл бұрын
@@HometownAcres I thought ours rode smooth with the Kendas but hummed loud at highway speeds on pavement. Granted we had 27 inch tall 11in wide tires on all 4 rims LoL lots of rubber to make noise.
@HometownAcres5 жыл бұрын
I don’t notice these being any louder on the road than the stock tires but these are the same size as the stock ones. Just better tread pattern and 8 ply instead of 3. I suppose we probably coulda gone with larger tires

Those are some wicked tires! Nice plow set up. Great video, Adam.

Thanks a lot. Everything is set up and ready to go for snow. The only thing I’m missing is a cab enclosure. But the windshield and roof are really all I need except for those January 5 degree days
@daveholmes1235 жыл бұрын
Hi Adam, that's a very nice set up for removing snow, that plow hookup is sweet! You know this video made me think how atv's and utv's are just as important for work as the tractors, I'd be lost without mine thats for sure! Now the funny part I have the 500 ranger Lol ! But I do most of my running around on my honda atv, love that thing! Thanks for sharing and take care 👍

Hey Dave thanks for commenting. We’ve been running the ranger on trails the last couple days in snow squalls and if it wasn’t for the windshield I don’t know if I’d have gone out. If I just had a 4 wheeler I’d definitely think twice about hitting the trails but the windshield makes it fairly comfortably and keeps the blowing snow out of your face. Now I just need full doors lol
@OurGreeneAcres5 жыл бұрын
Wow snow, we don’t see a lot of that here in upstate Alabama So I don’t think I will need the attachment. Cool video and I like the new tires. I’ve only had one flat with the factory tires so far. That said I’ll go out to use it today and it will have a flat. LOL

I was riding mine in my field and freshly brushhogged switchgrass popped them. It was kinda my fault I guess but I still don’t think they should have popped

@@HometownAcres I've heard you mention the switchgrass before that must be some gnarly stuff, I have no idea what it is.

Looks like the right tool for the job and took no time to plow your driveway. I expected you to jump out and make a snowman when you stacked it up at the driveway entrance . We also had a light dusting of snow this morning which is crazy because we are only a couple of weeks from summer starting.
@HometownAcres5 жыл бұрын
Those early spring snowstorms are always frustrating. You’re probably ready for summer
@NorthForkHollow5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the review on the tires. I have 2 Atvs that need tires soon and have been looking at those exact tires. You guys got more snow than us. We barely had a dusting. But enough to push me to get the plow truck ready as I'm sure some bigger snows are coming soon. Nice video!
@HometownAcres5 жыл бұрын
I’m sure you’ll like whatever tires you get but I’m very happy with the Kenda’s. Good tread. Heavy ply. Self cleaning. A lot to like with them
@jasoncline43835 жыл бұрын
I'm south of you so we only got a dusting. One thing I hate about plowing is putting gravel in the yard which I see you do that too lol.
@HometownAcres5 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah. I could set the plow skis up a bit but then I run the risk of having that last inch of snow melting and turning to ice. So I scrape pretty low to the driveway which does pick up gravel but I can always use the tractor back in the spring to bring it back in

Just stumbled onto your channel and like the videos. I’m curious after 5 years how the power angle setup has worked on the blade-any failures with the cylinder or welds/brackets? I see your a PA guy-North of Butler here

Man, I’m jealous. We haven’t seen that much snow here in several years. I’m hoping this is the year. It was almost 70° here today! Anyway - nice video. Keep up the good work!

Just the beginning. Monday 1-3”, Monday night 1-3” and Tuesday 1-3” so anywhere from 3-9” coming early next week. I’m rooting for 9” of snow haha. Thanks for the comment!

Hometown Acres I wish we could get 2 or 3 good snows here each year, but we’re lucky to get one.

Why not push everything over to the open side instead of the fence? I also watched your big snow plowing video.........once past the fence why not angle to the sides of the driveway instead of straight blade? Also if you take less of a bite it will be less passes depending on amount of snow. Unfortunately in mn we have hardly any snow and I have a new plow on my pick up........just my luck.......lol. looks like that does a heck of a good job......maybe doors and a heater next? Have a good one

That plow is nice! Very cool! I wonder if you sprayed it with some Pam cooking spray if the snow would slide off to the side better? Seemed like the only part that didn't work extremely well. Nice setup man!
@HometownAcres5 жыл бұрын
The only reason the snow was not rolling off of the plow that well was because there was only 3 inches of snow. It seems to roll off of the sides the best when there is at least 5 or 6 inches of snow. But yes I have thought about spraying it with some type of lubricant. I need to get my hands on Clark Griswold’s “non-caloric silicone-based kitchen lubricant” from National Lampoon Christmas Vacation.
