no need a second hose, use the in the inground hose and maybe use fittings if want to have dual function. As I said in your pump video you should build a small dam ( 1or 2 feet of water) at the source and a flow control at the pond to prevent sucking to much water and draining the source to fast. Basically, DO NOT forget how many gallons the source will give. i noticed that you are testing quite a distance above the pond, so if you test at the discharge point at the pond you will find a faster rate due to the increased drop in elevation. Also, Remember moving water freezes at lower temps. NICE VIDEO.

In your case I would think that once you have water filling the entire feed hose from the stream to the pond it would create a siphon and all you need is a check valve at the bottom. If that works I would create more head water at the source ( 1 or 2 feet) with a small dam and something to adjust the flow at the pond to prevent sucking all the water out of the source to fast.

I think I would have just cut it into rounds and busted up for heat. The last time I took logs to the mill, it actually cost just about as much per bd/ft as just buying the lumber from a lumber yard.

Fallen autumn leaves are powering so much life, ranging from microbes to things that eat them, all the way up to fish. The best thing you could do for a pond is making sure there are a bunch of leaves in there, each year. Detritus, like leaves or seasonal aquatic plant life are a must for healthy ponds.

Can this tool be used to pump drilled well water from underground ?

I use a $30 55 gallon steel barrel with a lid. You must of got a heck of alot off that $500 fire pit to use it to burn scraps at the "Wood Yard".

My 600 is fine stock. I ride pretty hard mind u this is the first wheeler that has had CVT clutch and honestly I'd rather change gears myself This way you can control the RPM's much better and you don't use as much fuel. I find every machine that has CVT clutches rev way high.

I have over 2000 miles on my original belt of my CF600 and still looks really good high and low gear is very important. The only thing I've noticed is it's dropped a few Miles per hour on its top end belt is definitely starting to wear.

If you have tools specific to the Japa that you need there to work on it, get a sealed box for tools and mount it on the machine. Always have what you need at the place you need it…Edit - if I had watched all the way to the end, I would have seen you come to this conclusion on your own. 😂😂😂

When the log arch did not fit over the log from the front because of a knot you could have simply pulled it from the back instead of lifting it over the knot.

Why don’t you sell the scrap in bags.. we use that as kindling or starter wood, I’d pay a couple of $ per bag with my wood for it, when I buy.. seems like throwing away some $$ for a small home business.

Good work ! But I have to wonder why you did NOT put a couple of blocks under the log instead of setting it on the ground. That would have made the next step in handling easier.

While I applaud the problem-solving efforts you provided, I do have to mention a serious safety concern that I have that took place even before you got behind the wheel to tow the log. I could only find one other mention of it in the comments. You should never hook your winch cable to itself. This is asking for serious trouble, which could result in equipment damage, serious injury, or even death. This is an almost certain way to cause the cable to fail, and when it does, it will be under extreme strain. All of that stored energy will have to go somewhere, which is how injuries or death can occur. As for the concerns about towing the log on the roadway, I believe those were addressed in the other comments.

It wouldn’t have to be THAT precise, and its certainly doable on the ground… I had the thought pop into my head when the trailer almost didn’t fit over that bump halfway down the log…

I’m pretty surprised that log arch handled it, only because the size of the tube doesn’t seem strong enough. But nice job. And as easy as you drove out of there, if it wasn’t so easy to move by hand, you could have backed it up in through there. Was wondering what your plans were are for the log?
