I lived in Japan with my family for four years. That music you heard is the song played over speakers, telling the kids to go home from the playground. Usually at 5 pm.

This is such an awesome place, the history that this place hold is amazing. That's cool that all of a sudden music started playing I thought you put it on the video until you said "where that music coming from". The people figures in the buildings are life like almost. As for the place you all stayed at is beautiful but the lady seamed a bit weird. Thank you again for sharing this video, take care.

This was a tad bit different from the other videos. That would’ve been so eerie to be walking around, hearing nothing but the sound of your feet walking. Not even any birds! Creepy. The figures all dressed up was really different, the older man in the house seriously startled me. I’ll have to go back to see how I missed the woman & child. You did say you set them back up, but still. Please, please try & stay safe. Need you back in the UK, maybe get a glimps of Marky. It’s amazing that all the pottery, china, rifle, etc. were still there. Thank you for sharing, really enjoying this Japan trip❤

Wow, I love this old village and the 'willies' are all about a strange 'Penis' festival that takes place in Kawasaki! It's based on an old Japanese legend, you HAVE to read about it, hilarious! Thanks, Dave, I was transported back in time to a land I was not familiar with, what a strange sensation!

Another amazing video Dave! Im loving these Japan video's, so interesting. If that was in the UK it would have been looted and destroyed long ago. Just a thought, you mentioned that there was a zoo and it closed first, maybe those taxidermy animals are the animals from the zoo 😮 Stay safe Dave and thanks for an amazing video, Im looking forward to the next one already 😉❤

I was questioning all the phallic statues too so I tried to Google it and all I found was information on a yearly penis festival. I'm not being disrespectful when I say I was laughing, its just that I have never heard of anything like it. Thanks for another awesome video. Be safe out there.

This was great but it wouldn’t have been depicting 800 years ago more like 400-500 years ago. The gun was introduced to Japan by Portuguese adventurers in 1543. So seeing the displays having rifles tells me the time line was after that.

I think it's a village museum, an edo period museum. Probably maintained for a few years, and left abandoned maybe lacking of funds, maybe 🤔. love the place though 🥰 like your back in time of the samurai 😊
@AWE83

That’s correct, it was built in the area of where the last of the samurai’s went into hiding. It was built one local man so people would have a better understanding what the samurai culture was all about.

the penis thing if i remeber is to do with The tradition is thought to have begun around 1,500 years ago. A springtime celebration, the "penis festival", or Honen-sai Matsuri, is carried out to bring fertility and a good harvest to the people.
