470 | Hiking through the SHIRA PLATEAU to Camp 2!! (Kilimanjaro Travel VLOG)

28 December 2023 - Shira Camp 2
Day 6: An early 6am wake up call on Day 2 we have breakfast and head off at 8am on our 4hr hike across to Shira Camp 2. A relatively easy hike we continue to acclimatise to the attitude and arrive at our camp site at 3850m just after midday.
After a big lunch and a quick nap we head out again at 4pm on a acclimatising hike. We ascend 160m and breach the 4000m mark!
There’s only 2 times I’ve made it above 4000m (Malaysia 4,095m and Mexico 5,675m). We then head back to camp for dinner and call it a day!
