$475 Ford Bronco Roof Rack - Holds 800 LBS!

Is the cheapest roof rack ($475 with discount code "DOTY5") on the market for 2021+ 4DR Ford Broncos any good? So far I say YES! The installation was extremely simple with a few Allen keys (3mm, 4mm, and 5mm) and the 10mm wrench to attach to the front windshield. Roof panels ARE still able to come off, too! The website says it can hold up to 800 lbs (I'm assuming that's the static load rating). Powder coating seems great and their support has been extremely helpful with the one screw. Can't wait to get the RTT on this!

Hi I’m looking at buying this hookeroad rack. I have a few questions that didn’t get answered in your video. How is the road noise? Do you use a deflector. I didn’t see you putting in the EVA rubber like they suggested. Is this needed? Does this make the Bronco Sasquatch and higher than the stock roof rails? I’m trying to make sure this fits in my garage still. Will this be able to carry a rooftop tent that is 175lbs?

The rack may be rated for 800lbs, but the Bronco roof mount points are only rated for a 110lbs dynamic load and 450lbs static load.

110 pounds means that you can't drive around with anything on it certainly not a tent... that makes no sense.

Hey Jacob .. long time subscriber and fellow 2013 mustang gt driver and I just wanted to say I Loved your mustang videos and really miss them was wondering if your ever going to do more even though I know you pretty much have the car the way you like it now but would at least love am update for your plans with it at all if any thanks brother.. also still love the stang.

I didn't get a chance to finish the video, but do want to mention one thing. The rack may hold a certain weight while the hard top roof holds another. The hard top roof has a dynamic and static weight limit, the dynamics weight from Ford will be the determining factor of the real safe weight within warranty and safety. I think dynamic max load is 120lbs.

⁠Agreed and I was very concerned with this as I wanted a RTT. I took a chance and purchased this rack with the hardtop reinforcement brackets from JCOffroad for $180 😮 as some insurance. Two of us have been inside the RTT and have had no issues. While still a little paranoid, I did install the RTT in the middle to help offset the weight distribution.

What you’d expect with a roof rack and removable panels. No weird or annoying whistling. I think you could customize a larger fairing that would maybe help. I saw some of the other brands run that. Totally manageable though at 70mph

@@JacobRDoty I would add that I have found the Ford Aeroskin hood deflector to be a tremendous help in reducing added wind noise! I installed one after I had my light bar up and noticed a significant difference. My wife now enjoys my car again lol

Excellent rack, and definitely recommended. Very stout as you said. Easy install. Was getting some wind noise that was quickly mitigated with a wide slotted weather strip. Best value out there. 👍🏻
