Kazmaier's WR bench is even more impressing when you realize how low the hooks were, even with the lift off he did half a rep before the attempt
@NK-xz9mx4 жыл бұрын
i mean kaz knows what he was doing so clearly he trains with hooks low and gets hand outs maybe it helped him to get tight and to get in a good position there is no way he would do it if it would hold him back in training, also notice how the press command was a clap close to his ear thats pretty cool that they used to do that
@antoniocenteno14834 жыл бұрын
What is scary about Kaz is that we will never know how much he could max, dude was such a freak made those lifts without moment, without rushing and without any complication.

Correction on the bench press record for Bill Kazmier, it's not 622 but more like 661 lbs. He was the 1st human to exceed 650 lbs bench back in tbe day. Here is wikipedia record column: 300 kg (661.4 lbs)[3][17] raw → former IPF world record in SHW class (+regardless of weight class); surpassed by Ted Arcidi's 666.9 pounds (raw) in 1984 Deadlift - 402 kg (886.7 lbs)*[3] raw → former IPF world record in SHW class (+regardless of weight class); surpassed by Doyle Kenady's 903.9 pounds (equipped in deadlift suit) in 1986
@TungstenLion4 жыл бұрын
JF Grenier are you saying that video is 661? or his best is 661? Because that video might be 622 and then he broke the record again at 661 later on, i dont recall at the moment, but it is certainly a possibility.
@rfjohns44524 жыл бұрын
The big pressers of past were the Olympic lifters 1972 & before who easily exceeded Strongman lifting in pressing. Savickas was far better strict presser than current strongman but Mateusz is really becoming better. Kazmaier was given a bench record because powerlifting federation hadn't formed yet when big Jim Williams did 675 pounds with 2 second pause in 1972.

Pehiman is way closer right now to anyone to be the next 500KG deadlifter, i don´t think he has it in him irght now, but in a few months, damn, he is closer than Makarov and of thw two i can see him trying to break te record as a more viable future.
@kucuser4 жыл бұрын
Its hard to say his lockout was soft at best, strongman judge might give that to him but an extra collar before weights is just unfair. Still all best to Peiman.

Good video, but some of these are mislabeled (such as the military press is actually a push press), and mariusZ's behind the neck press is repeated multiple times and the music sucks ass. I mean add music if you like, but something that suits the video better. They are world records after all, not sissy workouts.
