Somewhere in Stoke right now we got hot news... 2.05.2020... "Somebody call ambulance we got one person (huge man aswell btw propably more than 190 cm heigh and we think about 160-170 kg weight) dehydrated we need you here right now!" Exactly the same person about one hour before be taking to ambulance be on CCTV in one of corner grocery shop and we see like buying about 10-12 liters cranberry juice... And we heard like shout to cashier something like "4 fu*in years ago in 2016 I can easly but absolutely easly mate pull 510, 515, 520, 525, 530, 540 even 550 kilograms you got me?! I be on that time in great shape and I lightly can pull that many but what's the point what's the point you know what I mean?!" 🤣😂

@Вук Тодић Speed isn't always the best indicator of their relative max, though. You can look fast on 460-480, then completely crash on 500, like it happened to other guys attempting 500. I'd say just because Eddie's lift looked relatively fast, it doesn't mean he wasn't close to his 100%, but many people seem to forget that.

@Jesse Arechiga the 500 knocked down the beast? Eddie held 500 there for 3x longer than Thor did to show he had complete control over that weight, passing out afterwards doesn’t have any correlation to how easy the lift was. Do you see that Thor is 6.5 inches taller than Eddie but only 9kg heavier, do you even know how crazy that is? Eddie had such an immense weight at his height that his blood pressure and bpm was over 200 after the lift.

To me- what makes this record so much more impressive than Eddie's record is how Thor handled the aftermath. Thor just walked away, as if it was nothing. He didn't bleed out of his nose, he didn't collapse, he didn't seem to be too fazed by it at all! That, to me, is what makes this record so much more impressive even though it was only 1kg more.

@motivation josh Numerous people have already said something about it. Just WSM like Brian Shaw, Eddie Hall, and Robert Oberst. ALL who have said it's not really about cheating. Their point has been that it's only fair to attempt WRs in competition, where other competitors get their own attempts, and they don't control the circumstances of their lifts. They lift when their name is called and it's time to lift, not whenever they're ready in their home gym. It really seems that none of you care what anyone else thinks, you're in it for some kind of glory or to support your guy. That's the ridiculous thing of it all. Shaw, Hall, and Oberst and others are trying to protect the sport.

@@tobimeister0 For static strenght, Eddie was probably the all time strongest man on Earth. And he held that title for at least 3 years in my opinion all the way until he won WSM and didn't train for competitions after. His bench, and shoulder press was uncontested amongst strongmen at the time and his deadlift was also in it's own league at the time. Nowadays Hafthor has definitely caught up to Eddies strenght and possibly even beyond.
