Salutations Cosmonauts! This is a blind Starfield playthrough. I am so excited to delve into this game. It looks to be a huge and expansive science fiction world that I'm dying to explore. I have only watched 2 videos about this game and they were both reviews and know very little else about what to expect nor what sort of play styles that I'll have to choose from.
Its been a long time since Bethesda created an entirely new game that isn't Fallout or The Elder Scrolls related. Will it be any good? I guess we'll find out first hand.
Thank you for giving my channel a chance. I know all the big KZbinrs are playing the game, so it really means a lot that you chose to watch, at least the first ep, by little-o me.

The purpose of the Quantum Essences that the Starborn drop: When you use your powers, it uses up energy (sky blue bar under health bar). So using each starborn ability has two restrictions, both the timer cooldown, and also amount of energy used to fuel the ability. Energy recharges back naturally at a slow rate, but consuming an quantum essence restores a large bit of energy at once. The Starborn have been using powers, but most of their powers are random for each one. Most often you have seen them use invisibility, and earlier ones have used the solar projectiles. And some powers they are not allowed to use against you because it was determined to be too unfair to the player for them to use against you. Basically Precognition shows you next step in (non persuade) dialogue so you can better decide what to say. My grief is that language accents (and cosmetic genetic differences) only grow in isolation, and usually fade or mix in with other accents within 1-2 generations. And yet here, in colonies that likely have had pretty much the same people for generations still have such varied earth accents rather than evolving their own unique accents or lingo (though I accept that would be difficult to do.) If they insist on having people with strong earth national accents, I then want to see cities where those people with those accents make up the majority of the population so that the accent maintains itself. So if there are people with strong Asian accents, let there be cities that were founded by Asians and where those of Non-Asian would be the extreme minority. Same with those who have strong Carribean accents, or those who speak the Queen's (or would it now the King's?) English and so on. I do see them making somewhat of an effort on diverse cultures (with Freestar Collective striving for indepence and somewhat seeming slightly stereotypical wild west and firefly setting-like and even a larger population with a southern accent while UC seems a bit more snobbish with a superiority complex and Neon being more drug/gang related cultures.) Yes, it is a Shelter she is running. I am getting the impression that the writers think that mining minerals involves pumping gases into the ground, in a manner that seems probably similar in intention to fracking. (I personally don't see how fracking would work for mineral mining, but it is their story and setting.) And while killing off all apex predators and not then monitoring and maintaining herd populations can result in overgrazed land and soil erosion, it would not be bad enough to impact gas emissions from pumping gas into the ground. In species that utilize queens, generally the queen would not be out in the open to be killed, and one would have to either sneak or fight past all the guards to reach. If the queen in the hive was deep underground, then if there were faults that allowed gas to seep in, I can see the potential of some gases killing the hive from the inside. I think if you had done the Mayor's request and the Trade Authority's job before asking for donations or increases to the donation, they might have been more incentivized to donate to the shelter. Yes, Annie DOES look like her mom. Unlike Cora, who does not resemble either her father or mother. There is a mod that makes Starborn drop or upgrade abilities that might make them worth killing.

ah ok, so like a battery. Thanks for clearing that up! lol I didn't register that the invis is obviously a power. ohhhh ok. I'll never use it lol Yeah they are misguided with the diversity push, the whole equally dispersement of races. It would of been cooler if several countries, or collective earth factions set out into space separately and started their own colonies. That would be good reason for different earth accents. But the problem here is there is skin color diversity but no cultural diversity or rather their is no culture at all. When you do scifi or fantasy, You need to do a lot of heavy lifting with the world building which they did none at all. World building is not scenery, its everything that lives in the scenery. They did way better in the Elder Scrolls. I never gave Fallout a fair shake. I agree, the only research they appear to have done is just whatever they remembered off the top of their head from whatever movie or TV show they may have watched. That makes sense. I'll look at a mod like that for a future playthrough. That's too intrusive for a first playthrough... says the guy that has over 100 mods installed lol.
