is it mandatory to use window function for using partitionby ..can we use dataframe.partitionby() instead of window.partitonby.Also one more doubt is if we have two three dataframes loaded in the current session and when we use window.paritionby("name") how will it identify whether these columns are from which dataframe.Please clarify

Dataframe.parritionby is completely different from window function. It is used while writing the dataframe into storage, whereas window partition is one of the transformation. Coming to multiple dataframe in a session, the dataframe which got created most recently that will be considered for window

is order by a mandatory value in any window function of pyspark ? in the rdbms world it is not mandatory. Can we write window function without Order by ?

Partition by is optional but order by is mandatory in window functions
