Awesome built, looks super cozy. If you build the chimney higher up, over the roof of the mail shelter, you will not get as much smoak inside as you now got.

Chimney principal…for good draw…always make the top of the chimney higher than the smallest hole, to the outside, in the roof. Smoke is hot. Heat rises and will gladly choose the highest hole in the house.

Could do with some improvements but you know that good shelter maybe a door for cooler weather, your ridge line needs to be higher to stop rain pooling and dripping but a great warmshelter

I just found you today . I love this shelter and fireplace. It looks very warm and inviting. I subscribed immediately as I am disabled and 63 and cant do the things that I use to do. I was building forts in the woods like this at 13. Everyone thinks they are a "Bushcraft Specialist" and "Survival Expert." Pretty sure nails aren't used in buskcraft. Hmmm. And I'm thinking that it's highly likely you used a chainsaw to cut all that wood and not the bowsaw you showed in the clips. Oh and of course the shish kabobs, did you hunt down the prey with your homemade bow and arrow?
