This was the first ever MMA event in Uzbekistan history and was put on by the Uzbekistan MMA Association lead by Otabek Umarov. With Khabib Nurmagomedov and Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov being guests, along with their team of fighters from Dagestan at GFC20, I was fortunate to being able to come document this history. I always loved Frank Mir! He's a thoughtful guy. Lots of people don't know that he thinks deeply about stuff. He's also an atheist. I was always a fan of his. His style was really unique for a heavyweight. He was really technical, and he preferred to use brains instead of brawn. That didn't always work (against people like Carwin, Lesnar, etc.) but he stands out as unique in a class of massive brawlers which were heavyweights at the time. And of course, his jiu-jitsu was awesome! You don't submit Nogueira without being a damn good jiu-jitsu player. I also think he's a great commentator. He gives good analysis on fighters. I think he's extremely underrated and I wish more people knew about him.

8:00 Khabib is translating everything in the conversation for his father because in their culture (and in Islam) its rude to exclude the third person from a conversation between 2 because they'd feel awkward and left out.
