Nice couple :-) I like to watch your videos!!! I went to Akademia Restaurant with my friends. It was nice experience. Highly recommended for dinner and every occasion. I celebrated my birthday there and I was so happy because of delicious food, atmoshpere, modern interior, localization and so on. I tried potato dumplings for the first time!!!! So cool. I would like to come back to this moments...

We really wanted to make it there and heard great things about the place. Unfortunately, we ran out of time. Something to look forward to the next time we travel to Warsaw. :)

looks like ravioli , not like polish pierogi ,,, and,,,, pierogi ruskie doesnt mine russian ,,,pierogi ruskie mean pierogi from Ruś - Rus ( not Russia) There is a dispute about where pierogi originated. Some legends say that pierogi have come from China through Italy during Marco Polo expeditions.[11] Other stories contend that pierogi were brought to Poland by Saint Hyacinth of Poland, who brought them back from Kiev (the center of Kievan Rus', nowadays the capital of Ukraine).[12] On July, 13 1238, Saint Hyacinth visited Kościelec, and on his visit, there was a storm that destroyed all crops. Hyacinth told everyone to pray and by the next day, crops rose back up. As a sign of gratitude, people have made pierogi from those crops for Saint Hyacinth. There is another legend that states that Saint Hyacinth fed people with pierogi during famine caused by an invasion in 1241 by the Tartars. Although one legend states that pierogi were brought by the Tartars to the West from the former Russian Empire, it has been said that in the 13th century, pierogi had first arrived on Polish territories.Russia and Rus are two different kinds of countries and nationalities...

@@MindfulWanderlust These are Ruthenian pierogi. They come from the former Ruthenia province. Stalin moved the Polish borders after 1000 years. Today it's western Ukraine. The capital of this province was Lviv.
