I love that this is such a small trawler community that you know who’s boat I was on lol. And yes, they did a great job. Wonderful people and learn very quickly.

Many people would find this boring, the travel through the flats, and probably most of the journey. I find it fascinating; there is always some little detail to get my attention. When I drove truck across the country, I was never bored because there were always things that I needed to be aware of. Piloting a boat looks like it wouldn't be much different.

@@RodJaynes thanks for watching. And yes. I love the travel and the new things I find along the way.. I had a client who was a truck driver. Bought a 53’ Hatteras and was going to take it to Florida. He didn’t know what the throttles were!!! He was an amazing learner. Sucked up everything I taught him about driving a boat. Including adding auto pilot. Much different then driving a truck across country on a road. You have 360 different directions to go offshore. lol. Told me best thing he ever did was get the auto pilot! I don’t think he would have made it. But he did! And a great job as well. I was very proud of his accomplishment! Even took the boat through Lake Okeechobee to the west coast! What a success story!
