There is a whole cottage industry servicing vacuflush toilets. 😂 Great engineering design, but a poor operational design. On my personal boat, I removed all 4 vacuflush heads in the first year, replaced with a modern design. Haven’t touched one of them in 4 years.

@@jonathantibbs2659 I’ll have to try and remember I know that we sent the exhaust back down to D’angelo. They weren’t all that bad getting out by myself. I think I did explained that in a vid when I was working on a turbo. My answer is usually the same. 😂🤣🤣 I always say I am classically trained. As in. Things break I fix them. I have been fixing/ building/repairing stuff since I was a little kid. Everything builds on one another. I did that before and this is like that… so this is how it must work or why it’s broken. A lot of things I’m looking at for the first time. A lot of it is just the courage to take it apart. lol. I mean hell it’s already broken right? Thanks for watching and commenting!

No oil burn. He said that that smoke has been happening for a long time well before he overheated the engine. There’s an oil sheen on the water so I’m thinking it may be an injector.

When you over heated you blew head gasket. Might as well refresh top end while it's off

Except the owner tells me it’s been like that for a while…. And there is a sheen in the water. Making me think with the white smoke it could be injectors.

Well…. No we didn’t fix anything. 😂😂🤣 we got the engine running and replaced the impeller so it does not over heat anymore. This is all new stuff not that it runs 🤣🤣😂but he said this has been going on for a while. So with an oil sheen and white smoke I may be leaning towards injectors.

One other thing. One of my friends has a 40+ foot Tartan. He wanted to make espresso on his boat. He found this tiny portable espresso machine: Outin Nano. It’s about $150. He seems to like it better than his $2000 machine. The only other thing you would need on the boat is a good hand grinder, and probably a digital scale. There are some awesome small hand espresso grinders now that cost between $100 and $200.

Dave, your espresso video popped up when I was watching a sailing video. Good to see another sailor passionate about espresso. I have been making espresso for over 30 years. Here’s a couple of things that really revolutionized my espresso: WDT tool. It breaks up any clumps in the portafilter and gives you the best possible extraction. Bottomless portafilter. It’s a tool you can use to troubleshoot your shots. You’ll see if you are having issues with channeling etc.

Because it’s easier cheaper and quicker to drop a complete rebuilt unit in. This was a charter boat with a lot of use. So time was a big factor.
