Yup! Something was stuck. And you’re right. Like I said once you touch it, it just keeps going on to the next weakest link. I don’t care for the system either. I like simple. Easy to fix and not a lot of moving parts…. Thanks for watching and commenting.

There is a whole cottage industry servicing vacuflush toilets. 😂 Great engineering design, but a poor operational design. On my personal boat, I removed all 4 vacuflush heads in the first year, replaced with a modern design. Haven’t touched one of them in 4 years.

I think I did explained that in a vid when I was working on a turbo. My answer is usually the same. 😂🤣🤣 I always say I am classically trained. As in. Things break I fix them. I have been fixing/ building/repairing stuff since I was a little kid. Everything builds on one another. I did that before and this is like that… so this is how it must work or why it’s broken. A lot of things I’m looking at for the first time. A lot of it is just the courage to take it apart. lol. I mean hell it’s already broken right? Thanks for watching and commenting!

One other thing. One of my friends has a 40+ foot Tartan. He wanted to make espresso on his boat. He found this tiny portable espresso machine: Outin Nano. It’s about $150. He seems to like it better than his $2000 machine. The only other thing you would need on the boat is a good hand grinder, and probably a digital scale. There are some awesome small hand espresso grinders now that cost between $100 and $200.

Here’s a couple of things that really revolutionized my espresso: WDT tool. It breaks up any clumps in the portafilter and gives you the best possible extraction. Bottomless portafilter. It’s a tool you can use to troubleshoot your shots. You’ll see if you are having issues with channeling etc.

Because it’s easier cheaper and quicker to drop a complete rebuilt unit in. This was a charter boat with a lot of use. So time was a big factor.
