#48 - Stability & Redundancy of a two node - single member system Applying the Right Type of Support

This session is a preliminary discussion related to stability of structures. We have discussed the stability related to a very simple two node- single member system and we have introduced the concept of statically determinate and indeterminate structures. This session is to highlight the fact that the stability of the structure needs to be understood with respect to the supports specified and their role in stabilizing the structure. Only then would be one be ready to go for modelling of supports. We will take the discussions on stability in further details as we go along in the course. I hope you enjoy this session.

If the number of reactions are greater than number of equilibrium equation does that means the structure will not be stable??
