GREAT set! Lucky, I grabbed before sold out. Jimmy full tang is GOLD. Huge difference and in 18 slays. Low hooks are my favorites as well. Thanks for the video.

Got my basic set coming in the mail, I'm so stoked

Nice, the basic set is a great set on its own. Hopefully he’ll eventually have tensioners and stuff sold separately so you can add the prybars later.

Jimi has the best tools sold in the states imo. On top of quality he has managed to make them affordable.

Jimy is a great guy, and his picks show all the hard work he’s put into them. If you could have tried his initial prototypes and seen how far they come you’d bee stunned.

For rakes I found that you don't need anything but two different cycloid wave rakes a quint and a quad. I have yet to find something that I raked opened with a different rake that one of those two will not also open.

For the most part I agree, I started using the double peak from the echelon recently because I can hit the pins I want without hitting the one’s I don’t. I also like a city rake for cheap wafers because it’s so close to simulating the shallow bitting that’s so common

Very cool! I've been itching to try his stuff out! He's always sold out when I have the money though lol
@georgiajim22609 ай бұрын
He sells out as fast as he can get his batches done. I got lucky and was scrolling reddit when someone mentioned he was back in stock and jumped on this set.

@@georgiajim2260I hear that! He had everything up when I didn't have the money, then when I did he was out lol.. Patience and perseverance! Next time i'll hold the money to the side and check twice a day for as long as it takes lol

Finally getting my hands on some of these Jimmy Longs picks that I heard so much great things about. I'm wondering how the V5 with 19thou will compare to the 18thou. So, I'm hoping for an update video on that 😅

The use of FEA in the design of these, almost makes them feel like 0.023" picks, as far as strength. And if someone is still a little too heavy handed, they are priced right. I honestly don't know how Jimy is making any money.
@georgiajim22609 ай бұрын
I agree, they’re very strong and both the FEA and the load testing done on the profiles make them feel stronger than thicker picks. I always make a point to mention that these aren’t magic picks because I’ve seen both Jimy’s .023 and other brands in .025 get absolutely wrecked by new pickers who are either too heavy handed or trying to lift warding to shear. Jimy’s can take a beating but like any tool, they can fail when abused beyond their limits.

He restocks the website at I believe 7pm mountain time on Friday. I just waited until the time and had zero issues buying what I wanted.
