With a compromised immune system, I've stayed relatively homebound since late Feb. We did get out to Mount Rainier National Park for a quick day trip and another day trip to Lewis and Clark National Historic site. It has been the best option for our family and while I don't regret this decision, we do miss our adventures. As Thanksgiving has passed us by here in the US I just want to say how THANKFUL I have been for you and your videos. I have shared a time or two ( OK maybe more LOL) but the way you edit, the storytelling, acts of kindness, highlighting the friendly folks you encounter (like Britney) and beautiful and unique places you adventure to have allowed me to escape (virtually). I find myself sincerely getting lost in the videos at times. I remember one ending in a cliffhanger and literally saying NOOOOOO outlaid LOL. For this Mike I am sincerely so grateful. Sunday morning downunder in Melbourne (we've been set free after 8 months) and here you are (a month ago) enjoying a great rail trip with your dad in the wildest part of your country before your second lockdown. Really looking forward to next week with the polar bears. Loved that you shared the train trip with a couple originally from my part of the world (Aussie accent noticed). They must be real adventurers too. And Britney at 4 in the morning!! She really lightened up the trip - what a great advertisement for ViaRail she is! You were blessed to see the northern lights. The southern equivalent turned up in Tasmania earlier this year. Glad that your dad took the opportunity to share this experience with you. I'm sure he was pleased to tick this adventure off the bucket list before it becomes too difficult to travel in adventure style. Now the next prompt from KZbin is to check out Pannier P's clip celebrating Puffing Billy's return to the Dandenong Ranges east of Melbourne yesterday, Saturday 28th November. (Pannier P is a young railfan friend and has really taken to KZbin - he's half your age, Michael!) Looking forward to the Polar Bears next week. Stay safe!

The scenes along the way of how native people lived will haunt me forever. Just how does one survive besides the tracks in a canvas straight walled tent at 25-35 below plus wind!? The most interesting part is when Britney came in, she is impressive and very professional. She was so fresh at 4 am. Bravo

I come back to this video every so often. I always think about your dad's "never say no" outlook :) It's so beautiful and wise. I first watched this video 8 months ago and I still think about what he said :) I hope you both get many more chances to say yes!!!

This video put me in such good spirits! I can't wait to move to Canada and explore all these places. I hope to make many good friends that are as awesome and kind as Britney!! I loved your dad's advice about not saying no, too. It's such a good way to look at life.
