This is so helpful. Thank you both for taking the time. 😊

Very interesting Dr McConell. New subscriber here. I was wondering, given Dr Tarnopolsky unusual expertise, has he tried to teach "skeletal muscle pathology" to medical students during Pre-Clinical training or is his work mostly with neurology residents/post-doctoral fellow? Regards

Mark is an amazing doctor and person. He has looked after my daughter for decades. She has Syngap1. I love the stay above nutrition products too!

Are there potential signs of pre afib in otherwise healthy long distance runners? Bradycardia with escape beats? Chronic mild elevations of AST?

Have you seen the podcast episodes on exercise and the heart? Benjamin Levines one and Andre La Gerche’s. Lots about atrial fibrillation etc. Also the next podcast episode I’ll be putting out is also on the heart as well. Paul Thompson.

Hello, with regards to exercise and muscle myopathies, my closest friend (68 yrs of age) has an as yet unidentified neuromuscular disease. He has been through the ringer over the years with countless complex tests, all to no avail. He has been told the signals from the brain do not adequately reach his muscles. He has had this condition for 30 years and is getting progressively weaker. Any type of exercise (weights, yard work, house work, etc.) causes many days of painful recovery. The muscles do not regenerate post workout as in normal physiology. With this tiny bit of information, do you have any thoughts of how to alleviate his symptoms with supplements, perhaps creatine monohydrate, etc.? Best regards!

Hi. Sorry to hear this about your friend. I’m no expert on this but if the messages aren’t getting to his muscles properly why does he get muscle soreness etc? Doesn’t seem to make sense. I’ll send this to Mark T and see if he has a chance to think about.
