You are a good example! Proud to see it working out so well. From thinking about it, to taking the course, to getting your cert to getting a part time gig, to getting a fulltime gig and working on getting your own shop going. Damn nice.

What a waste to not share the Wilderness! I am just trying to help as many people as possible using plain English. So many "experts" use jargon to make people think they can't understand this stuff without them. Makes me crazy.

Hey Dave good to see you well, Yes folks have no idea, They want cash but cash is the furthest from their need, Its what cash can get that matters in most folks lives!, Surplus and deficit is what they need to get educated with Long before they can ever gain wealth, most have no clue what a penny is let alone the Dollar. Keep up the Videos we are learning.

Thank you - I am really enjoying the CEO School and Investing School vids. Trying to speak plain English on these subjects and help anyone I can.

Evening Dave Good words as usual Slow and steady wins the race, best thing I ever did starting my own business and a rock of a good woman behind me, without her support we’d be way behind the boat 💛🙏🏻

Anne Marie provided me a good home as a platform to launch from - she is why I am where I am.

I agree Dave, Success is effort and getting good at something; Wealth or a living is concomitant to becoming good at what you do, Folks who are not willing to learn and move get exactly that a universal world not willing to support their lack of movement.
@PiperDave202315 күн бұрын
Great comment - the Universe will not get behind a lack of motion or effort.

Crazy how that subtle ish change in elevation changes the snowfall amounts so much. Cant remember if it was this vid or another where you were talking about KBV BMP. Finally ordered some burlier and handsome stranger so now i can compare those to the BMP.

Great video as always. Investing - if you would do your own research in some claim you saw on social media, why would you not do the same for a suggested investment that will probably have a more direct impact on your life. I have had several positions get delisted because I jumped into a “sure thing” RIP Fisker… Business - Had my own small IT company for a few years and it didn’t go well. If you’re going to start your own business you need to be as good (OR BETTER) at the administration of the business as the execution of the business. Crypto - I think I have some worthless OMI somewhere… 😂 Question: Having spent most of your life in metro areas (Seattle/DC) what about Jackson Hole gives you the level of comfort it does? Question 2: I mentioned you on a video where I spoke about STG/Mac Baren/Sutliff and spoke about the typical reasons behind an M&A (having been on both sides) What’s your take, as a former CEO, on what you see happening strictly from a business perspective.
@PiperDave202315 күн бұрын
I think people fail to do research in a new area is because they don't know how so they just trust "their guy." Fisker - such a great car - such a terrible company. Small businesses fail for many reasons but not being good "at the business" side of the business is a huge killer. One of the hardest things for me over the 25 years of owning DHA was morphing from a "do it" guy to a "manager guy" to a "leader guy" to an executive. Question #1: I grew up 30 miles north of Seattle in Everett, WA. I spent most of my first 22 years camping, hiking and backpacking. In fact I went to college knowing I was going to a US Park Ranger. At 22 I began downhill and cross country skiing. We owned a ski-in/ski-out condo at Copper Mountain in Colorado for 10 years. I always felt out of place and a "Poser" in the DC area. I moved to Maryland to take Anne Marie home and made the best of being in the economic engine of DC. Question #2: It is my belief that STG did the acquisition for two reasons. Reason #1 is because they were approached by a dis-interested family member in charge of the company desperate to get of the business and offered the company at truly firesale price. Reason #2 is to shutdown the competition. If I missed your questions or didn't answer them straightaway then please bust me and keep asking!!

I'm sure too many people are looking for a simple easy way to make lots of money. You and I both know that's not how it works.
@PiperDave202315 күн бұрын
So true - it's the "Bigfoot" of business. Just doesn't exist. I can't tell you how many people come to me wanting help "to start a business that makes a lot of money right away and doesn't take too much time." People are crazy.

Have been investing in XRP for some time now, very convinced that it will replace BTC at some point. But like all investments, I’m always aware that I could be wrong and this thing could go to zero. But I think I’m right and so I invest. A question I have for you, Dave, is when do you believe that you have enough evidence that you allow yourself to be convinced to invest x amount of money into something?
@PiperDave202315 күн бұрын
Holy smokes Jack - brilliant comment and question. If you are ok - I will answer your question on tonight's fireside chat as our Investment School Topic. People need to hear this. I think you are "dead on balls accurate" (It's an Industry Term) about XRP. I believe it will flip Ethereum, but I don't believe it will flip Bitcoin. Wow - thanks for the comment. Please keep the conversation going here and on future vids!! I really appreciate it.

I made a decision years ago not to invest in things I don't understand and I have yet to have the time to fully understand crypto. But I am fortunate enough to not need a side hustle. Good advice for those who do.

Thanks! I would urge you to learn about crypto - particularly XRP. It could change your life.
