On the second weekend of June saw 4936 Kinlet Hall make a welcoming visit to the Dartmouth Steam Railway during the Heritage Festival Weekend. This was the very first time a BR liveried Hall had been seen on this line since the early 1960's.
Covering the three day event we see the Hall run along much of the northern section of the line, as it was facing chimney first out of Paignton for the whole weekend and better catching it work up the more steeper climbs up Goodrington bank providing some high detailed shots and edits, didn't have any intention getting it tender first out of Kingswear. The historic detail of a BR liveried Hall running on it's home route, carrying the correct headboard and reporting numbers made it all look so real and authentic to the scenes (in the past 6024 King Edward I when running on this line wore inaccurate Torbay Express headboards and reporting numbers)
As well as including the Hall in the film 7827 Lydham Manor is seen pairing up with 4936 out of Goodrington Sands and Class 25 D7535 'Mercury' which is not often used on the line is well worth including.
