About the same engine kit paid 180 on eBay I have to replace the bolts to mount the engine on the plate they were too long original ones that came with the indica

I only have experience with the 80cc 2 stroke and the 49 cc 4-stroke. These are the two most popular sizes/types on the market. My choice is the 49cc 4-stroke, but the 2 stroke is less expensive and is smaller, so if it's about the budget and size of the bike, you may want to go with the 2 stroke.

The 2 stroke is faster from the start, but the 4 stroke has a faster top speed. Check out 'project farm' on youtube. That guy did a pretty good experiment between the two. Thanks for watching and for the comment! Dean.

Is the 4 stroke harder to work on than the 2 stroke I'm looking to buy these engines to have fun and learn to work on engines? it appears harder on the 4 stroke because of that red shroud.

the red plastic Fan Housing is indeed an ugly piece of work. However it is the key of the forced air cooling system (designed by Honda, made by China.) And when you disable a functional part of the engine's normal design, you resort to the old saying, I don't like how it looks. Good for you, and it is clear that you don't understand air cooling.

I appreciate the feedback dehoe. Maybe I'll spray paint it black if there is a problem with overheating. This build was more form and less function, so I'll stick with the current configuration. There hasn't been a problem with heat yet, but I'll definitely keep an eye out for it. Thanks, Dean.

If you are going to call a 66cc 2-stroke engine as a "80cc" engine, then you might as well call the 49cc 4-stroke as a 61cc engine. When you play numbers games, Be Consistent. When a person plays the Jackass card, one risks being seen as a Jackass.
