I came here after Jo mentioned you as an inspiration in her videos and I am so glad that I found you. After losing my daughter recently I had given up all hope and was just living by biding my time. Your videos have infused me with newfound love for life and creativity. I always blamed myself for letting my daughter down, not being there when she needed me the most but I guess I am finding peace in the fact that she is somewhere out there wanting me to live my life in best way I can. Your videos give a 60 year old lady a purpose and a hobby to live by. God Bless - Charlotte

You have no idea how much a part of my art life you are now. During this lockdown I come here to escape from the daily horror show and spend my time involved in your precise, magical, rational world. It has helped me immensely. Sometimes just the sound of your is enough to centre me. I have been in self isolation since February 2020 because of health problems. Thank you so much for adding such positive energy to my day to day being.

I collaged using strips and used them on covers for a journal. I haven't made a whole mastrerboard, but when I needed a page for a signature, and only had scraps, I glued them all onto a plain white copy paper. It worked out nice.

I enjoy hearing you explain your process as you work. Why you did or did not choose a certain paper or put it in a certain place helps me see options I may not have seen on my own. I have watched others turn the master board over and cut it from the back. I think that would make it less “personal “ as you cut it if that makes sense. Then once it is cut, you forget what it looked like as a whole and just appreciate the uniqueness of each piece. Of course, you would copy or scan it first. I think it would be cool to then cut the copy again in a different way to see a whole new group of individual pieces emerge.

I want to take a moment to let you know how inspiring this video is . I’ve struggled with making master boards, in fact I had given up on making them, after having watched numerous tutorials and struggling with composition. I’ve watched this at least 3 times and in the past 3 days I’ve successfully completed 10 master boards . It was all about shapes, rectangle and squares only and sticking with neutral . Thank you so much for all you do, I truly appreciate you and look forward to many more videos. 💙

I really enjoyed this video. I don’t think it’s superficial to treat yourself, especially since most of us are just trying to survive the pandemic. Self care is important. Also, I have made master boards that I like and don’t want to cut up. What I do before I cut it up is scan it. That way I have a digital copy that I can print and use over and over again.

For instance, I must remember to cut a butterfly in half and add it the way you did. I have a box of butterfly die cuts remade and ready to go, so why don’t I use them more? I will now. Those calligraphy letters from the past were gorgeous thank you for being brave enough to use them! 😀. Your work is always a special treat. TFS. Enjoy your manicure. TFS I did. I like to add the punched out dots, which I punch out on purpose, usually from a colorful paper that fits the page, and add them in sets of 3. When I make junk-envelope-journals, I like them to have a color scheme, so I always slosh some paint on a scrap, and use that for the dots.

Then one day a customer said You must be a Leo? I didn't understand. Until she said Leo is a male lion, and the male always have beautiful manes. Laughed and said yes I must be because I roar like one too when I don't get my way. We all had a good laugh that day. Now I'm retired and have great memories to look back on.
