Oh, Joie. I've just begun watching this video and I'm hyperventilating! I made a book page base two nights ago and it's just sitting on my desk, silently beckoning me. I just didn't know ow I wanted to proceed. Then you, dear, dear lady, posted this 51 minutes ago and I've just found it and now I know exactly what I'm going to do. Thank you, Joie. Please move to Texas and live next door to me.

@@dedepyle7046 Hi, Dede. I am in the Canton area, about 60 miles east of Dallas on I-20. Texas has its own problems, of course, but Missouri is too cold for me! I'm just a delicate southern flower (ha ha). Don't you just love Joie? Take care and stay safe. Best wishes for a great holiday season.

@@honestly8015 Hi Love! I lived in the Lindale area for 4 years and I miss that area so much. I would love to move back there. It is my home even though I was born and raised in Dalhart...just north of Amarillo. The weather here in Branson is very close to that of the panhandle. Still too cold for me as well, but this is where work is. I have a granddaughter in your area and would love to come and visit her sometime. I do love Joie. She is so amazing. Have a fabulous day, and enjoy your holidays.

Hi Joie, Just to let you know you have the gift of pushing/give courage to cross into the uncomfortable. Just the other day I made that Envelope Flapper and enjoyed collaging which I dread. It actually turned out quite nice if I may say so. And today I find myself making a master board and using watercolours!!! I haven't used them since I was a kid!!! But I am actually enjoying it and slowly letting go of the feeling "you're not good enough". Thank you for giving me the courage to dive into uncomfortable waters! Praying you are on your way to recovery. Hugs 🤗🕊️

I like masterboards. Usually I have a stack in progress. I pull them out when I feel like doing a particular craft: stamping, collage, gesso, painting, etc. I tear and use up less loved scrapbook papers and often use small paper punched items. I just used 5 X 7 pieces for my kids club to glue on their turkey die cuts with Thanksgiving sentiments. Boy did they love the bases. We talked about all the elements used to create the bases. I did them in an autumn theme. I will use the leftover pieces to make post card type place markers for Thanksgiving with an inspiration from Wendy. She did a wax seal with string wrap project recently!!! Thanks for sharing.

Joie, I love your videos, particularly when paint is involved. I add things to my Amazon shopping cart while I’m watching. Last week I ordered the Botanical Line Drawing book, and I love it! I like everything that you’ve done here. The “Still at large“ sign gave me a chuckle. Years ago when I came home from work there was a giant crow walking around in my house. It scared the heck out of me, I can tell you. I managed to close it off in the guest room and called the county health department. I could hear the dispatcher when she put out the word. She provided my address and the message was, “Bird at large in her home.“ 😂

Far back in time when dinosaurs roamed the earth, I was a Marketing Assistant. We used to make "masters' of forms we had created because it wasn't easy to make another one when we needed it, i.e., retype another master. (Yes, Virginia, there was a manual typewriter!) We'd jealously guard the masters in a file and treat them like newborn babies. I'd do the same now with a collage I really loved: Keep it and only make copies to use. I guess if one uses book pages in the master then copies would not be possible unless they were from a book out of copyright. I love your master boards!

Love this project! And the birds! I love to make masterboards and will definitely incorporate some watercolor shapes next time (great idea!). I like to tear smaller pieces of various book pages that are different shades of vintage and I love to add music. I glue my pieces to 12 x 12 unloved scrapbook paper or card stock . That way I can cut them into my favorite sizes which are 4”x6” or ATC size or tags. I use Mod Podge which also gives it more stability and some brushstroke texture. Thanks for another great video!

Ooh, yummy nail varnish Joie 😍. Gotta love a master board, trouble is I tend to hoard them 🙈 silly, I know! I usually use glue stick which is more work but less drying. Sounds fab. 🙊I'm definitely not subtle🙈. One of my favourite things 'escape the world'. Loving the word 'hoardy' 😄. It's a bit like Tina's cluttered master boards which is also lots of fun. I was just thinking they look like seed pods 😍. Cool 😎and utterly unique! Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖

I am going to try this tomorrow. I am not feeling well (went to Mexico and well, let's just say I am not feeling great) and this will give me something to make that I can do and just play with and not think about a lot. It will give me a chance to play with things without any expectation and just go with the flow. I love this idea. By the way, the bird with the "Still at large" words made me chuckle. I have Distress crayons that are water soluable like watercolur pencils so I will use them in place of.
