Nick’s fighting for the Captain spot which was given up by Armstead, and which Nick didn’t get last year cause of his contract holdout
@BennettJonWayne-xw9vi4 ай бұрын
Don't worry about the Armstead departure (he was overpaid and overrated) as he was a drag on the salary cap. Bosa will lead. Brandon Staley is going to be a great defensive coach, likely bringing the 49ers defense to a higher level than 2023. Another aspect of the 49er defense that people underestimate, is the free agent signing of Leonard Floyd, with 58 career sacks in 8 seasons. Leonard Floyd has been very healthy over 8 seasons, and was a big factor in the Rams 2022 Super Bowl win. If Leonard continued at his present pace for another 8 seasons, at age 38 Floyd would be number 23 on the NFL all time career sacks list with 116 sacks, just ahead of JJ Watt, who has 114.5 career sacks currently. Paired with Nick Bosa on the 49er D line, the pair should be reeking havoc on opposing QBs for some time to come.

Ricky Pearsall has the potential to someday be Brock Purdy's No. 1 receiver, as Jerry Rice was to Joe Montana and Steve Young. Time will tell. On the defensive side, Brandon Staley is going to be a great coach, likely bringing the 49ers defense to a higher level than 2023. Another aspect of the 49er defense that people underestimate, is the free agent signing of Leonard Floyd, with 58 career sacks in 8 seasons. From assistant coaches to the damn GM... almost every single one of them have NFL playing experience, at least college level. The experience that is at the hands of the player of this 49ers team is tremendous. Is it any wonder why the players grow fast and well?
@JAFrk4 ай бұрын
It helps that they are in Silicon Valley. They're surrounded by an environment that is built on how to develop people. They're surrounded by CEO's, leaders, venture capitalist's, company founders and what not, and there is no way that the 49er's office dont rub shoulders with them.
@josephrapelje46704 ай бұрын
@@JAFrk I can see that, strategies and different approaches on different situations. The 49ers organization sure has come a long way. Good Ole Jed stayed the course, never lost hope and learned from his mistakes... while carrying on the love for the players that Eddie showed.

Purdy IS the "real deal' 49er QB. a phenom we're Lucky to have Discovered him However, for a Smart guy who majored in, "Communication Studies", he needs to put his Major to work, by deleting his 'umms' 'for sures' and stuffs', and LOOK AT THE PERSON he's talking to once in awhile. Nick has minimal 'umms' and Nick LOOKS at who he talks to. BP needs to get tips from Nick. 😉
