Maybe it's just my opinion but watching Purdy compared to Kaep or ,Jimmy,Is Purdy is sharp minded ,Reminds me of Alex Smiths Football IQ with Steve Youngs IQ and scrambling ability then add in a Young Russell Wilsons down field passing under pressure .Hate him or not Russell killed us while he was out of the pocket with those scramble drills .Purdy is a little of all of them and he's only In year 3..Keep him healthy I expect a few rough games by Brock with some bounce back games

Best QB through his first 2 seasons in NFL history. Broke that record Mahomes held for a few years. (Highest QB rating) He was statistically the best QB in the league last year. Lamar Jackson didn't lead the league in ANY QB stats last year and got handed the MVP.

Same. Funny thing is, a lot of it is psychology. Jimmy G. was always handsome and popular and confident off the field. Perhaps because of that when things didn't go his way on the field, he looked nervous. Brock is extremely humble and an underdog. When things don't go his way on the field, he digs deeper, settles down and makes plays with his legs and mind and arm. Reminds me of Drew Brees a bit. Brock is probably a better athlete though.

Brock brought me back to 49ers' fandom. I was a big fan in the '80s-'90s during the Joe/ Steve era, but pretty much stopped watching regular season games in the early 2000s. Then, I hear about this last pick, 3rd string 49ers' QB who just beat the GOAT, and I decide I got to start watching the 49ers again! It was his story that first brought me back, but it's his consistent, entertaining play that keeps me watching all season.

He’s one of the lowest paid starters in the league and the lowest paid starting quarterback in the league and makes less than most backup quarterbacks. The 49ers would make him a deal right away if they could just for pragmatic purposes. They don’t want his value to inflate further. Unfortunately the league won’t allow it until the original rookie contract is fulfilled. When Purdy gets paid its going to be big if Purdy does well this year.
