Saleh would be an even worse choice. He had 1 good year with the 49ers. 6-10 in 2017, 4-12 in 2018, and 13-3 in 2019. That makes him 23-25 with the 49ers. Demeco Ryans did a better job.

That’s why I’m hoping Christian can come back healthy, and Jordan signs a new contract; one that keeps him with us for the next few seasons; and take over thereafter when Christian move to slot; as I firmly believe we could have a better tandem then the Lion have with Montgomery and Gibbs. Virtually unstoppable our offense would be, especially if we can draft a couple quality starters on the IOL, and at RT. Brandon Staley is another mistake......look this why we the 49ers will never win a Super Bowl because of this. type of favoritism from Kyle & John. It's purely based on emotionalism and not on facts.....and the fact is that Staley had coached a bad defense when he was the HC of the Chargers and his first year with the 49ers the 49er defense performed like sh*t. So, this is a mistake. However, I have watched as millions of other 49ers fans have done...watched this Coach Kyle Shanahan make stupid decisions that cost us seasons and 2 Superbowls. I would think Saleh would take the Raiders job if it was given to him. I know they lack a franchise QB and their roster is not that talented. However, not having a franchise QB would buy him a year as long as he has a good OC as well as a good QB coach. As for possibly hiring Staley as our DC... I think he was a really good DC for the Chargers. However, he struggled as a head coach. I like the idea of making him our DC. It's a good hire because he has been around our locker room and knows our players. Plus, unlike Sorenson...he has experience calling plays and being good at it. However, I am interested to know if this means we our changing the defensive scheme to a 3-4 or our we going to try to add elements of it to our side 9. As for the OC job... I think they should hire Brian Grease before another team does.

It appears that Saleh is the new defensive coordinator for the New England Patriots, at least according to the Patriots fans. On the other hand, if Staley is hired, it seems that the Niners are expecting to have the worst defense in the NFL. Perhaps Kyle Shanahan will be fired after the 2025 season, as if he doesn’t make the playoffs with the easiest schedule imaginable.
