Some places do put older packs into a new box to save room. Let's say there's two packages from a box that came in last week, and you don't have enough room for the current weeks delivery. You'd take the last two packs out of the old box and put them in front of the packages in the new box that just came in, thus saving room on the shelf. If this were to happen, it is entirely possible that the packs in the back would be more fresh and less likely to crumble whole breaking down

There is a difference because I worked in a store and the reason why people ask from the back is because when you open a new pack the one or two left from the older opened box get put usually in the front of the newer pack. It all depends how long the older pack sat out. Those cheap wraps or cigars become stale quick. But I used to hate though 🤣 when they want it from the back 🤣
