4C Natural Hair Wash Day Routine| Wash in Twists| No Conditioner Used

Hey y’all! In this video, I will be sharing my wash day routine, which consists of washing my hair in twists using my DIY African Black Soap based shampoo and using natural moisturizing and cleansing products, such as castor oil, aloe vera juice, and flaxseed gel to ensure that I have an effective wash day. I only wash my hair three times a year. I have done this routine for 1.5 years, and I have achieved the best results; My hair grew from shoulder-length to the current length shown in this video (past bra-strap length, approaching waist length). I do a totally different process but one thing i know is…mini twists grow ur hair!!!! I started doing this regularly in 2018 and i have a totally different head of hair now.

Thank you!❤️ Because it takes a long time to do my complete wash day routine, I usually start in the beginning of the day. It allows my hair time to dry. I wear 2 head scarves at night so it doesn’t stain my pillows, bedsheets, etc. My hair doesn’t stain my clothes (I rarely wear my twists down).

Thank you! I do apply castor oil to my hair strands, however I rarely directly apply the castor to my scalp.

I used a routine something similar like this and it really grew my hair but once my hair got to midback length it started tangling more and getting drier. Now i wear braids and my hair is back moisturized and way less tangling

Hey! I decided my twists size based on the thickness of my hair. I have around 75 twists - I didn't want them too big or too small.

Why does my flaxseed flake. Am I putting too much

Hey Thandiwe! Yes. If you put a lot of flaxseed gel on your hair, it can cause flaking. I always pair the flaxseed gel with A LOT of oils. My hair is always super oily so the oils softens the gel up a bit and significantly reduces the amount of flaking that I have. Thanks for watching!❤️
