I’m part of the G3 generation cause I had a bunch of MLP toys when I was younger including the Minty Christmas toy that sang but I didn’t know they made a show about it until later. I watched the first FiM episode when I was either in high school or going to another grade or graduated. I don’t remember but it was summer. Anyway, my first episode was the season 5 2 parter and after that it was Princess Spike and I think that was it then I watched Equestria Girls and that was fun

I love this John Denver-inspired song. The atmosphere of the song really drives home the notion of a simple, down-to-earth, working-class farmer putting the duty of protecting family above their wants and desires. AJ is out being the hero, just as Big Mac had to put aside his own childhood to raise two little sisters and work a farm to support them. Oh, and the animation of the passing terrain really works with this song.

Absolutely stunning. This displays the sense of duty allowing her to harvest enough courage to abandon her traditional comfort. The sense of homesickness can be overwhelming, but a sense of purpose infused her with selflessness. The creativity of the lyrics blended with a divine voice really created an atmosphere I love. The animation of Twilight stressing out only to have her steady headed rock sitting directly behind her shows how wonderful friendship can be. What a wonderful epiphany that there could be someone willing to face the world with you... Amplified by the opportunity to be there for them in their time of need. A purpose to persevere an adventure for, and a reason to make it home. Phenomenal job with this fantastic song!

Something iv been doing recently with the music iv been listening to, is grading music (with my own little system) to classify music as masterpieces or not (according to me, and really only discuss it with myself). A lot of the songs i classify have a handful of gradings in common. 1.) Does the song have a story 2.) Is it a collabed piece (l love collabs, always makes me feel giddy when i see those) 3.) That musical flair (a single sound in a song that wasn't needed, but when added makes the song all the more. Best example is the solo in Fly Away, when the guitar is made to sound like a horse whinny) 4.)the solo 5.)an emotional pull 6.)a story 7.) A sense of grandiose (idk how to describe this. I have these guidelines, and something iv never really considered is.... simplicity. This song for example, is gentle, sweet, simple. Doesnt have that flair, or grandiose sense... but a sense of simplicity, familiarity. This song, despite not having those, still make it to my definition of masterpiece, because of its simplicity. Its an easy listen, doesnt require much mental stimuli (which is good after a long day at work) I consider this song a masterpiece because of the sensation of calmness and simplicity. Beautiful song, wonderful job with it. Cant wait to see your future content
