Dave, in response to a question that I had. I had asked if someone didn't use their sim card full time and let their data lapse, would they have to buy new card when they wanted to use their camera again. I talked to EIOTCLUB customer service (Summer) and she said that you DO NOT need to buy a new card because you let your data plan lapse. For example....you use data for 8 months and then let it lapse for 4 months. You don't need to order and buy new sim card. Just pay for the data you want and your existing sim card will reactivate. That's great news because if you don't want to use your camera year round, you can let data lapse and rebuy more when your ready and you don't have to buy a new sim card which saves us money. Hope this info is helpful to those considering purchasing the EIOTCLUB cards. Thanks Dave

Great review, thanks. The camera looks great and has some cool features. These 4G cameras appear to be getting better all the time and I really like this one. The issue for us is signal and the best we get is 3G and that is on a good day and only then if we do a special dance 😀

Another great review Dave. I take it that these cameras don't pan/tilt since they have such a wide view. Being able to at least tilt would help in centering the covered area. One thing that I saw that I wasn't thrilled about was when the video was on wide view, the video made everything look like it was going around a "bowl". When you drove your truck and trailer in, it made it appear like it was "bending" the video. Other than that, I'm still very impressed with the reolink products and am still enjoying mine. Thanks again for a great evaluation.

There is a slight “fish bowl” look but not nearly as bad as if you would have one wide angle lens. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment 👍

Love all your reviews on the reolink cameras. Just wish they'd work with Verizon. I've gone as far as to email the company asking if in the future they will. They said they would suggest this to the engineers and would keep me informed. Nothing as of yet. Kind of sad because I would sell all of my other cell cameras and go with the reolink. Thanks for watching. Yes there are many people in your shoes. The only advice I can give is I’m fairly certain you could still find a data provider that would work in your area. (You can have Verizon in your phone, would just need a compatible provider for the camera) 👍

Thanks for the video Dave! I'm enjoying being able to keep an eye on my cabin with the GO PT. I look at it almost every day even when I don't get a notification of activity. It still barely makes much of a dent in the EIOT data allotment. BTW, I don't recall you mentioning whether you bought this camera or if Reolink provided it for you to review. (It seems like as much as you've done to review their cameras you deserve to be getting their new models to check out!)

Looks good to me , some camo duct tape would be easy to apply. I don't see any plans from my cell providers for these units just a monthly plan for another sim card for a cell phone . Do you have plans separate for these cameras because up here the lowest plan with data is about $60 a month.

I would like to buy two cameras to watch all four sides of my house. Thanks for all the work you do on your reviews. We are looking for a camera that we can access live view from our phone, don't necessarily have to store anything. The camera would be in the Finger Lakes region of New York State and we are in Florida. Any best recommendations? Also some people have said on other reviews that in the cold weather, the solar cannot fully charge the battery, have you encountered that problem with any of the cameras you use?

Thanks for watching. I haven’t had cold weather issues with my Reolink’s but have also heard the stories of people who have. With Reolink you can turn the pir sensor off and only use the liveview when needed. This will have very little drain on the battery (camera won’t be recording video when the pir is off).

That's a really cool camera. I wonder if the 360 cameras work in a similar way? I've been considering getting one of those to set up on the back of my boat, but haven't decided to pull the trigger yet. I guess they set it up that way so it's harder for someone to steal your memory and sim cards if they happen to find your rig. Otherwise I dunno.

This is very similar technology that the 360° cams use! I’ve considered those cams for my hunting videos but have been a little concerned about the amount of editing and file sizes that’s involved with them. Thanks for watching Bill. I sure do appreciate it 👍

This is a nice camera. But to touch on your Con's. I'm guessing they will expand their colors in the near future, but you can always disguise the color with camo fabric or paint. And the SD card cover is, in my thought fine with the screw holding the cover on. You never know if it was held with a clip it my fall off in time. I'm okay with the screw. Just about all battery covers have a screw. I enjoy your videos and reviews.

Im torn between this camera and the go pt plus. any suggestions on which one to pick?

I guess it depends on where you want to place the camera. Will the ultra wide view be beneficial? That is the number one benefit of the going with the duo. Another consideration is what you will be doing with the captured footage (videos). As I showed, the duo app can splice the two videos together easily but when you pull the sd card to view the videos, the videos will be two separate videos. My personal preference is the GO PT even though it can’t cover as wide of an area. 👍

I'm changing over to the EIOTCLUB card. I have a question about the card that you might be able to answer. I have no need to run my camera's year round since I use them as hunting trail cams. Here's my question....can I run the EIOTCLUB card for a set amount of time/months, then not use the camera for 3-4 months and then when I'm ready to use the camera again, can I just buy the data and reactivate the EIOTCLUB card that is already in the camera or do I have to purchase a new card since it wasn't used for few months. So the FOV on each camera is 75 degrees? Also, I think needing a screw driver to access the card is a plus. Not a negative because it's less likely that someone will come up from behind the camera & steal or mess with your card. In fact it would probably be best if it was a star driver so it's less likely someone would have that on a swiss army type of knife or in their truck..... I have also been curios what footage you are showing on these videos? I'm not clear what you can view (or download?) while you are at home to see on your computer or TV. Do you need to go swap out the card to get a high enough resolution so you can get a better look on a bigger screen to see a nice buck in the distance or in brush or can you download a hi res file to your phone and transfer to your computer? Or is the low res pretty good too?

Thanks for watching. The footage I show is the high resolution I retrieved from the camera. You can select two different resolutions for the recordings. The lower of the 2 will be shown through the app. This saves data. You get to decide how low that resolution is (many different choices). On the lowest setting it will be poor quality but you’ll still get a good idea what’s going on. About once a month I retrieve the sd card to get the hi res videos 👍

As far as detection range, the camera advertises 30’ but I’ve found them to work out to approximately 50’. Remember they have fairly wide angle lenses so everything appears to be even further away
